Just a short questions, no spoilers please :)

I heard that some people were regretting that they didn't save enough money for the finale of the game, where you need it for some decisions as a king.

If I wanted to be an all good king, with all the good/expensive decisions, how much money should I save?

In total 6.5 Million, you'll also get an achievement for that as well.

Yeah but if you're going to be good save a little more than that for expenses

Phew...6.5 million?
How would I get that much gold?

I'm currently on the Bowerstone Industrial part, and bought all the shops that were available.
Is there much more to come before I become the King?
Do I get some kind of cash check when I'm crowned? And do my shops still generate that regular income when I'm the king?

Sound like some Lute Hero marathon is there to come for me.

You're better off taking your time before becoming king and buying up all the property/shops you can and if you get 6 mil built up in your sanctuary something good will happen.

Okay, will do, thank you very much!
Two final questions, and I'm totally happy :)

1. How far am I already in the game, is the king part already near? I'm currently at the part at Bowerstone Industrial, where you have to collect 100 points with all side quests. Just after the cut sequence where the person was shot from the balcony, during a demonstration.

2. I saved Elise at the beginning. Will I be able to marry her later? Or should I go with another wife?

Wouldn't it be more than 6.5m? I thought you need 6.5m when you run out of days, but there are things you have to spend money on between 365 days remaining and 0 days remaining.

I'm gonna say 8.5m-9m would be needed to be safe, although you can stop to save money between making your decisions if you really need to.

1. Still got quite a while to go before you become king, maybe 2 hrs of play depending on if you go straight into the main storyline or stop to upgrade weapons, invest in homes/shops etc.

2. You can marry her, but why would you? She has weird hair!

Yea true, but if you actually manage to save the 6.5 Mill through shops and rent then the amount you get through every 5 minutes should easily cover most of them, seeing as every 5 minutes, if you own everything, you should get just under 100,000 every few mins.

Yeah good point and if push comes to shove you can just sell some of your properties and make some extra last minute gold that way.

Cool, thank you very much!
I'll start buying some houses then, do some jobs and and take a short break from the main storyline.

I just bought shops until now, as I had read they don't need any repairs and are easier to handle.
But I guess shops alone won't get me all the money.

If you make all the "good" choices as king you will put yourself in debt for $2 million. So, to be a "good" king you need to have $8.5 million at hand if you want to save everyone at the end. However, if you make all the "evil" choices you need less, since every choice puts money into the treasury.

Okay, then I will save some money for the "good" decisions :)

What's the "point of no return" mission before becoming a King?

Before becoming a king? Or do you mean before the end of the game? Becoming a king is only the beginning of the end and you start making all the decisions after you become the king, with the final battle coming at the end of those decisions.

I don't want to post the quest names on here because of possible spoilers, but this link has a list of all the quests there are in the game and you'll find what you need there.

Exactly, before becoming a King.
What's the mission where I should stop and keep collecting money, before starting it?
At the moment it's "Go to Bowerstone Castle and meet Ben".
Thanks for the link, but I didn't read the quest descriptions because of spoilers.

I want to save money as possible before becoming a King.
And I heard there's a city called Aurora, I haven't been there yet, and was wondering if I could buy some shops and houses there as well, to increase my income. So it would get me some money to advance futher into the main story, but I don't want to risk becoming a King without saving enough money first.

You can only really buy property in Aurora after you finish the main story and don't need the money any more. It's a bit of a con in my opinion but thems the breaks I guess.

upgrade your lute playing skills (on road to rule), play LOTS of lute hero, and keep buying property!!
i had loads of money by the end of the game by doing this.
a good trick is that you should never have a lot of money in your vault, just keep spending it on property

Thanks!
That's just what I actually did, playing lots of Lute Hero and then buying immediately :)
I literally bought everything, and now get about 75.000 every 5 minutes, so I guess I will be fine soon.

But one thing is still unclear to me:
Which mission is the one where I'll be crowned king in the end?
How far can I play without reaching the king part?

The Battle For Albion is the quest that ends with you being crowned king.
