I agree with you here. Half of the time in Fable 3 I couldn't get my bloody dog to come to me. Because of this little problem his stats remained low throughout most of the game. They could have improved the dog's tactics by lets see...a lot! He didn't even attack downed enemies as often. Lame.

I have that same problem as well. I think that when Lionhead Studios designed the game they didn't think of or forgot to allow the player to merge two different families together. You could try firing your nanny and then sending your child to the orphanage, move your current wife to the castle...

Grabbing all of the collectables during the Kidnapped! quest is usually your best bet. But there is a trapdoor in the orphanage you can use after you've become the ruler.

The orphanage is in Bowerstone Industrial. If you enter Bowerstone from the Old Quarter, and travel a short ways down the path, look to your left. It is a huge building surrounded by gates, when I went to the orphanage there was a digger out front and two guards and a some commoners arguing at...
