Some questions..

I'm new to the forums, first post and all. I've been working on a few simple edits for weapon meshes, I haven't made my own yet, just modified the existing ones.

I know this one has been asked about a thousand times, but I searched and I never found an answer that has helped me out. I've exported from FE, Imported and made my changes in 3Ds Max 9, and exported the modifications. When I try to load the mesh, I get the error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I've gone ahead and reinstalled FE, and the error won't go away. I've noticed that if I simply export and re-import a mesh, it goes in fine, save for it not being textured, so I think that I may be doing something to botch it in 3Ds Max, I only got it a few days ago and I'm still learning how to work it.

Is there anything glaringly stupid that I'm doing to keep it from working?

Thanks for helping out a newbie. Haha.

Edit: I managed to import the new mesh, but I still get the same error while trying to run Fable. The modified mesh (the stick) appears as normal in the game.

Edit 2: I've gotten it in the game, but the weapon shows only in it's shadow. I don't see the actual graphic.
