So, I hear rumors about this mine in Aurora. No one seems to be willing to say what specific zone in Aurora this mine is, the only thing I know is that it contains a 20 keys silver chest with a legendary weapon in it. I want to get that chest open. I made all the good moral choices, meaning that I didn't let reaver dig for precious metals in Aurora. I've heard people say that reaching this Auroran mine is impossible without doing that one evil judgement, but I've also heard people say that you still can reach it, even though you made the morally good choice.

Now, I want the bloody truth! :p Is it at all possible to reach this mine and get the legendary weapon without making that evil judgement, and in that case; is the mine in City of Aurora, Shifting Sands or the Veiled Path?

Imma go crazy if it turns out you have to be evil to get to all the random legendary weapon locations...

Im not completly sure but I've been to the entrance in a good and a bad game. In the bad game it just looks like any other mine but in the good game it looks like an opening was here at one time but its been blocked by rubble. So unless there is another entrance I would have to say have fun with that new bad character :)

I have all 26 legendary weapons from my game, and I made all good choices.
Therefore you can get it if you are good.

Hm... I'll have to count my legendaries once I've gone through all demon doors, gold doors etc...

When Kalin first comes to see you in the Throne Room when you are choosing whether to make Aurora part of Albion you have to make the evil choice of breaking your promise. It turns Aurora into a mining town. There is a mine that opens up around the area of the shrine that you have to go to for the path to the Silver Key that is located on the top of the buildings. In the mine there is 8 Flitswitchs you have to find and activate for the way to open up to the chest. In the chest is a legendary weapon. I have done this twice and both times I've recieved Jack's Hammer. My brother also did this and recieved Jack's Hammer. So I'm not sure if you always recieve Jack's Hammer or if it is a random weapon.

There is a 20 silver key chest in Aurora, but it has nothing to do with the mine.

The truth is that if you don't make the mine, you won't get the weapon (which is random, so lucky you shsmiddy!). No alternative exists to get it; the 20-key chest in Aurora City is always there. Sucks, but it's the price for being good.

Well if you decide to not break your promise does Kalin live? I have played the game through 3 times working on my 4th and 2 of the 3 times I decided to build mine and not build Army outpost and Kalin and her people died leaving shops there empty... 1 time I built the mine and tyhe Army post and they still died.. You know at the End when shes a ghost... If I dont build the mine and build the Army post will they live or does that matter?

Everyone lived, nobody is a ghost. I did have enough money to save everyone however, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Well I am thinking your right that it does... This time around I have enough money so I am hoping I can keep everyone alive... Also if I choose not to mine AurorA do I have access to the mine? If so how and when?

I think you guys are all missing something here. The legendary weapon in the mine is not one of the normal 26 weapons. It's the 27th. It's an extra one. Yes, it is true that you cannot get this 27th weapon if you don't build the mine, but you will still be able to get the normal 26. And as everyone else has said, the Auroran silver key chest has nothing to do with the mine.

EDIT: You may also read up on this thread that I made a little while ago.

If you choose to mine Aurora, will the town still be around with the shops and all?

well i have played the game thorugh where i did mine the town and then put up the guard outpost but they still were killed. i think the only way to save them is to not mine the town

i just completed another play through and this time i converted the orphanage into a brothel just so i could level up some weapons and mined Aurora to get to another legendary weapon. these were the only 2 things i decided to change. i still built the outpost to provide protection. i completed the game with high morality, 0 casualties and basically all it took was gold, lots of it.the town still had all it's people and ALL the shops were open.

I hear so many people comment on this and say all there people died. If you didn't speed through the game, you would at least have heard them mention what the treasury money was for.
I had the same problem with the mines, but wont make the same mistake the next time around.

Kudos to you all.
