A young college student who is looking to pay off his debts has painstakingly created a perfect replica of the MJOLNIR Assault Armor from the Halo series, complete with replica weapon. The suit itself took around 700 hours to craft and is known to sell an average of $5,000 - 6,000 with the highest price sold at $15,000. However Ian is having a more realistic expectation of earning $2,000 for the entire set, what he gets instead is a price he didn't see coming.. and his reaction says it all.

He should've gone to eBay.

I agree, though I will say he's not entirely a genius.. not initially (unless he saw the History Channel van outside). In the beginning it seemed as if he had little idea of what he was getting himself into (why head into a pawn shop of all places for an item like that?), but during the negotiation he appears to have a genius-on-the-fly moment. So yes, here's hoping he indeed got/gets an excellent offer elsewhere, it'd be a shame to see an item of such craftsmanship go for dirt cheap.

I would not have expected a different ending. Very familiar with pawn shops. Once bought a Leica 35 mm camera for 50 dollars. It was a steal and I felt badly but I love cameras. Neither one of the pawn people played games. Most people that pawn their stuff, just go get it out within the month, so it doesn't get sold. :)
