All the other side quests of course along with aimless adventuring throughout the world. Did you do the main side quest of Markarth yet with the whole investigating? The ending is pretty epic.

Lol that phrase is all over the web now I see it all the time on youtube comments. I hate that black guy, I always steal his clothes so he must forever walk in shame.

Edit: I was looking for an alchemy calculator on google and the first thing that came up was best poisons for suicide :'(

Does anyone know some really great potions for killing people? I buy vigurous something from alchemists which does 65 health damage but I want to make my own now. Also I'm not a mage character right now so I need a faster way to get health potions.

Falmer Ears and Deathbell make Damage Health Poisons. Where to get Falmer Ears is self-explanatory and Deathbell are really distinct purple flowers found just about everywhere.

Thanks for the tip I completely looked over alchemy when playing and am just now realizing how fun it can be. Before every mission I plan on just how I'm going to use my potions lmao it's satisfying.

I found a calculator, it was for Oblivion but it's adapted for Skyrim. This can help you with any recipes you need.

Head to the market district in Markarth, let the scenario play out.. then speak to Eltrys (or let him speak to you) then go from there. There's a second part to this quest once you've finished the whole thing.

Once you finish the quest above: You'll have a bounty on your head in Markarth, accept the punishment and allow yourself to be arrested, thus beginning the 2nd part.

Currently on my 8th profile trying to make it through the main quest without levelling up once. I've died about a billion times and I've only just got to the part where you *trap a dragon*. It's going to take a loooooong time...

Steve thinks I'm insane (but no one listens to Steve so it's kind of pointless him talking, really) but I want to finish the main quest, do the imperial/stormcloak allegiance quests, join all colleges/guilds/organisations and THEN power level up to gain all my shouts. At least on the plus side I don't have to deal with anything too taxing - I'm just so weak I die very easily.

My first scrap with Alduin nearly made me rage-quit because I've only got the standard 100 for everything. I used forty two health potions, all my food (over 130 items) and every arrow I could lay my hands on (about 540 ancient Nord, falmer and Forsworn arrows combined). We faced off with about five points of health left each and I managed to conjure up the weakest sputter of flame in his face which finished him off (well, made him go away) before he could Toor Shul me to Sovngarde...

FUS RO DOUBLE POST!

Just finished the main quest at level one...and I didn't die once in the last battle. for some reason it was easier than the first time we met as per my previous post. Maybe because of the extra help? Anywho, now I'm going to join the legion (I sided with the stormcloaks previously and after the peace council where Ulfric was a complete arrogant so and so I'm not sympathetic to his cause anymore) then the other colleges/guilds/etc.

As a quick check, I can power level to 11 right now but I want to get to 25 at least. This is going to take a loooooong time

^Yeah I was Stormcloak all the way but honestly I kinda hate Nords now after all the dialogue/ arrogance of the people.

After playing Oblivion in a sort of renaissance era playing in Syrim's barbarian world makes me feel weird.

Anyone been able to backstab... a dragon?

I'm doing a sneaky assassin character and because bows are for little baby men I refuse to use them. However, it seems that it is nigh impossible to defeat dragons this way; not only can they spot you far too easily but when you crouch down behind them you actually can't seem to reach their bodies with your dagger to hit them! Their wings sorta block you from creeping closer and their tail hangs too far overhead for you to hit...

I never would have guessed something like that was possible to begin with, but have you tried using any of the invisibility potions for the stealth issue?

Yeah yeah. The stealth issue you can work around by waiting for it to land (or use Dragonrend) then pop Invisibility.

However, if you sneak anywhere near the head of the dragon it insta-spots you. So that leaves trying to either stab it in the sides (which is prevented by its impassable wings) or try and go for it's... well, groin or tail. Neither which you seem to be able to reach when crouched.

^Maybe invis with a muffle spell or potion?

Tip: With gaurds if they are running at you run straight towards them lining yourself up then move the the right just alittle bit this seems to almost always initiate the power attack with two one handed weapons.
