Do you find it hard to sleep? Find yourself staying up till about 2am each day?

Hah, sounds like an ad, but no, im not here to help, im asking for help..

I cant fall asleep on normal times anymore.. Its probably the fact that i've screwed up my body clock and im paying for it..

But anyway, anyone else have trouble? and if so, what do you do?

I always have a trouble sleeping during the summer. Despite living in my parents basement (I am such a cliché aren't I?) it get super hot down here.

And sticky.

Y'know, when you toss and turn in bed and the bed sheet and stuff actually sticks to your body as if it was glued to you?

Ugh, the sticky air is the worst kind.

I have messed up my daily cycle in that I sleep from ~03 - 12, but I don't think I'd find it hard to go back to the daylight cycle.

Thats the same time as me..

Do anything to help it? or know anything you can do?

Not really.:/

I mean it's just that I have chosen myself to sleep during that time, but I'd have no trouble going to sleep 3 hours earlier. I'm not much of an expert when it comes to sleeping problems, because honestly I've never had any myself. Like, for example, I never oversleep - I have about 3-4 times in my life.

My best advice is just that you can try forcing yourself to sleep. And not only by going to bed and repeating "I MUST SLEEP" every second. Try and start relaxing an hour before the intended time. Basically don't get yourself worked up. Read a book maybe?

Yeah I've found it hard to sleep for years, not really anything I've been able to do about it though, I just stay up reading, playing video games until I get tired.

My usual advice would be to remain active during the day, but already you seem like a pretty active guy so even I'm in a state of "wut do?"

It's better if you do it slowly, sleep whenever your body wants to, but only sleep for a few hours and remain awake until a reasonable time. Usually works for me.

I have this problem right now too. I can't fall asleep until about 4:00 AM. I've been trying to go to bed earlier, but I just end up laying there awake for hours. I just have some stuff going on right now that is on my mind constantly, and I think that's contributing more to not being able to sleep than my internal clock is. I've already had one completely sleepless night (on purpose) a few weeks ago so that I'd be extremely tired and fall asleep early the next night, but my sleep schedule got messed up again after that. I think I'll just have to do it again.

I was up last night (today?) to 8am actually, 2 nights before 5am....my body clocks just been outa sync from my work (well thats what I tell myself lol) I work in a bar/restaurant, shifts can start from 12 noon and finish upto 5 am so I'm pretty used to being up all hours and not sleeping, 6 years now so im pretty sure my body clock is all messd up from it atm.
I'd say the best thing for you is to try and re-set your clock, not medically the best thing to do I guess but when I really want to try and sleep at decent times I just stay up all night, dont sleep atall, nor the next day, you'll be wrecked around 4-5pm but just stay through it untill 9-10 (or whenever you want), it'll ensure you get an early night and set your clock right (hopefully)

Ironically for me it didn't start until I finally dragged my arse to the gym and started going there three days a week.

What I've done to fix this? Stay up all night, endure the day, then just crash at a reasonable time.

You could also just masturbate since it helps reduce stress and tension while helping to induce sleep.

Other than that I'll listen to some mellow ambient music to relax the mind, it's terribly hard to sleep when my mind is all over the place.

I find it hard to sleep if I have a lot on my mind so I try to clear my mind before I go to sleep. Also hard to sleep when the weather is so warm at night with no air so I have a fan next to the bed to keep me cool. If its that you dont feel tired until late I night I try to do plenty of physicial activity in the day so im exhausted at night.

Ah, nature's Ambien.

That actually stopped working for me though. It's kind of disappointing.

Or background rain sounds.

Works for the odd couple of nights but you dont get decent sleep on alcohol so will be just as tired the next day. Also messes up your sleep patterns even more.

I've been like that for years. Your about 20ish right? I'd say its fairly normal for people our age. I tend to go to sleep around 2-4AM and get up around noon. I got a job working nights so it works out just fine.

One thing I have figured out is that if you drink energy drinks regularly you need to stop. Just full stop. Drink coffee instead. I quit energy drinks about six months ago and have been sleeping much better since. That stuff really messes with your system over time. If thats not the problem you can set strict sleep and wake up times for yourself. If you stick to it long enough it will reset your internal clock.
