So, I thought I'd start this with the Gamescom trailer.

I am actually quite happy to see the art style improved, and also impressed that female armors look like armors.

At first i was all YEEESSSS then i saw Xbox One NNOOOOO

What did you expect seem as though all the Fable titles have appeared on an Xbox long before PC.

I too am glad they have seem to have matured the art style and 4 player co-op sounds like a great idea.

Fable Legends features up to four-player co-op, SmartGlass control
Fable Legends isn't an MMO, Lionhead studio head John Needham clarified during a presentation in Cologne today; the game will however feature up to four-player co-op with four pre-set character classes.
Xbox One players can expect to find traditional character types in the game, including the tank-like Hero of Strength heroine, the mage-like Hero of Will, the ranged shooter or Hero of Skill and a general damage dealer.
Villain characters can also be played in the game, it was announced. Fable villains will have Tower Defense-like control of the environment and are able to control the spawn points of enemies for the heroes to battle. Users can take on the villain role this via SmartGlass, it was confirmed.
In typical Fable form, the game includes the standard Brit-angled sense of humor and will include a number of recognizable areas across Albion, home to all of the Fable games. An early prototype of the game shown during the event offered a look at enemy types that include Red Caps, while Needham added that enemies will be based on folklore and fairy tales.
John Needham was recently announced as studio head of Lionhead earlier this year. During the presentation Needham emphasized his 13 years of experience in online gaming, which likely will play a large role in the development of Fable Legends.

So...is the entire game just one to four players against a villain? I would certainly hope not. My main questions are these: Is it still an RPG? Is there singleplayer? Is there a plot? etc.

There is a single player Lionhead explained it like this:

In Fable Legends, you can enjoy all of the game’s content in a single player experience. You can play with other people in a four-player cooperative experience. Your party could be all human players, or a mix of players and AI-controlled Heroes. You can switch easily between single player and multiplayer styles of play whenever you decide, or when a friend signs on. During a quest, you can elect to battle a human or an AI Villain. As a Villain, you can challenge parties of human players, AI opponents, or mixed groups.
Fable Legends is being made with the Fable spirit firmly in mind. However, this is not a continuation of the previous Fable games, especially when it comes to the chronology. It’s a brand new series of adventures at the dawn of an age of Heroes. Fable Legends is the only Fable core game in development, and we have no plans to make a sequel to Fable III. However, in Fable Legends you’ll find many of the great features of Fable I, II, and III have been carried forward in our game’s design. That means the world of Albion, exciting stories, quests, humour, light-hearted action, and memorable characters.

They also announced that there would be a Beta in 2014 but other than that they havent really released much more info as of yet.

To me the fact that this isn't a direct continued story after Journey is very exciting, with this basically being just after the original destruction of the Spire, this makes me think that the Villain could possibly be Hallik of the Old Kingdom, because as far as I'm aware, his death was never specified. Though I may just be looking into this too much.

EDIT: As a side note, in Fable the Summoners have an unexplained allegiance to Jack of Blades, so could there have been some allegiance between Jack and Hallik? Could Hallik have aided Jack in returning to Albion?

This has been said many times already.. sorry for saying it again but.. Fable series has been going down the road ever since Fable 2. Why are developers behaving so immensely retarded? Everybody on this freaking internet wants a fable game that is a true Fable: TLC sequel (or a prequel). So many threads, so many vote polls was made in the past... and what have they done? JACK SH!T. I seriously hate them, I hate them from the depth of my heart.

Sorry if going off topic a bit, but Fable Legends to me is nothing. When I heard it will be Xbone exclusive I /facepalm all the way. Up yours Lionhead and Microsoft.

Im more surprised that people are surprised its Xbox One exclusive, I mean they all started as Xbox & 360 exclusives and only a couple made it to PC at all and much later than the Xbox versions. Chances are it could hit PC at some point but like others it would be way down the line.

Sorry if this is considered "Grave digging" due to it being an older thread but anyways; is there anymore information on this game yet? I am deeply interested and am hoping they release more on it soon.
