If you could create a game what would be the setting, & story? How would you make it stand out from others?

My game would be supremely boring for everyone on the planet except me, because it would encompass everything I love about my favourite RPG's. It would be like if the Sims mated with the Elder Scrolls and threw in the consequence and choice systems of Fable, Risen and Kingdoms of Amalur.

The setting would be a fantasy/medieval concept and there would not be one main storyline but rather several which intertwine at different intervals but all bear significant weight and value with regards to the final outcome. A bit like how The Wheel Of Time has more than one theme running through it (but nowhere near as convoluted). So whilst there would be the generic (yet tastefully done) good vs evil theme, there would also be elements of other stuff like slavery, espionage, criminal sects, religion, politics and the like.

That said, I have no story in mind (although I do have some characters and races tucked away somewhere). That is why I would hire someone to do the hard work for me. Can't be expected to make the world's most boring game AND come up with how it'll actually play out story-wise

I have lots of game ideas but I will go for the short easy to explain ideas that are evolutions of already existing products rather than a lengthy boring read one. I would really like a game set in the Spartacus or Game of Thrones universe but in the style of Skyrim (open world RPG) with the stories retaining their dark, mature adult themes and having a deep combat system with realistic gore and executions. Add branching storylines to it where your choices actually matter and sparing someone or killing them could have a big impact on the path the game goes down. Someone may seek revenge for the murder of their family/friend or could avoid a conflict later on down the road if you had spared someone beforehand. Like the TV shows/books make betrayal play a big part and dont know who to trust.

Also think a zombie survival game thats a cross between DayZ and State of Decay would be great, with it being an open world but closer to an MMO size online game where people can build their own camps anywhere and be able to get resources to fortify them but they would still have to find supplies to live, with survival elements being prominent (medicine/food/water/ammo/bandages etc). The need to eat/sleep and drink and having limited supplies of everything with need to go out on survival runs and hunt for food and interact with other 'camps' and players to gain more resources. Permadeath also playing a part and death meaning anyone can steal your gear and supplies you are carrying. But make the zombies a threat too so that people feel the need to band together to survive. Granted most of these ideas are actually in the works for DayZ already just hope they make the final product.

Im really into some of the ideas being banded around in some of the new survival games so look forward to seeing what some of them do. DayZ is coming the closest to the survival game I would like to see so far but The Forest is showing promise and with updates Rust too & Nether could be a sleeper hit also if it continues to improve.

Tried to keep everything pretty brief as I typed most of this on my phone from work.

Who could ever forget the much-debated "is it a stag or is it a penis?" avatar?

Nice to see you again :D

Would you rather shake your sillies out or wiggle your waggles away?
