Xbox 360 tattoo set is nowhere to be found?

I picked up Fable 3 today and started playing it. In the sanctuary I bought the clockwork tattoo set, and the notification said my content would be there next time I started the game.
So I restarted the game, entered my dressing room, but the tattoo isn't there? I went trough the wardrobe, from clothing set to hair sets to makeup and whatever, and when I got to the tattoo sets section it's not there.
I restarted my console but it still wasn't there. Then I went into the "purchased items" section in the store, re-downloaded the tattoo, restarted the game again and... Nothing.
Maybe I'm being a complete noob about this and I'm looking in the wrong place, and in that case, where is it? I paid like a dollar for this, I want my tattoo.

Yeah! It was in the book case thing where all the gifts are in the sanctuary.
In case someone gets the same problem in the future; When someone becomes your friend, they give you gifts. The gifts are found on a shelf in the sanctuary main room. When I bought the tattoo, it was there, as if it was a gift.
