Lovely. Thanks for the insight.

How are you passing the time these days? Thought of you the other day. My roommates brother works at Best Buy and apparently he's some kind of record holder in TV sales for his region/district or what have you.

Funny, the only record I hold is putting up with the most airheads without pulling my damn hair out.

Recently went to my baby nephew's birthday party, was entertaining, aside from him causing immeasurable mayhem. Daily exercise, Batman & Skyrim, and babysitting all the lovelies here on the forums is pretty much it these days.

I take it your passing of the time has been more entertaining?

Stop Distracting scotty Cheez. >:C

NO U :D

I can only imagine. The headache comes with working in the corporate world. Eh, not too interesting here. I've picked up reading The Hunger Games trilogy which I'm thoroughly enjoying. Other than that it's procrastinating, homework, class, smoke breaks...that about covers it.

At least I've found some good books to keep me occupied, though, right?

Scotty is ours. Hand him over or the Wii gets it.

Scotty belongs to no one! I go where I please, and I please where I go.

I've never read The Hunger Games before, might check it out. What other books have you been getting into, Cheez?

I just finished the Game of Thrones books, or the most recent one at least. Before that, nothing really. After Hunger Games I was thinking of checking out Terry Pratchett.

TBH I'm only starting to get back into books. Hunger Games is crazy addicting though, you'll power read through the whole trilogy. No joke. If you've ever read Battle Royale (or seen it for that matter) it's a very similar premise.

I've only seen the Battle Royale film, wasn't aware it had a book behind it, but it's one of my favorite movies out there. I'll try out HG and see if it hooks me.

I've been actually wondering if it'd be more rewarding to go through the GoT books instead of waiting for each season of the show. Which would you recommend over the other?

I always wanted to read the battle Royale book. It sounded good, and you should read it scotty.

It's not the most helpful answer, but you can't go wrong either way. If you're dying to know what happens next, the books are out there and they're good. If you can wait there's no shame in following the show. It follows the books pretty much verbatim down to the last word of dialogue.

Though I imagine following the books would give you a more complete experience. It's easier to keep track of who's who and all the various houses and sigils and whatnot. You also get to know what the characters are thinking which is some nice insight.
Gikoku

Helpful enough, sounds like I'll be doing both just to get that complete experience, it's almost impossible to recreate every last detail from a book. Plus I hate waiting for months on end just to find out what happens next. Thanks Cheez. :)

You're welcome Scottness. :)

§ephi's right about the Battle Royale book btw :p

Alright lol, I'll check it out. I noticed it was made into a manga as well, wondering if that's worth a read too.

Never read it so I couldn't tell you. I can't imagine that it would turn out bad, especially considering what it's about.

Did you ever give One Piece a try?
Gikoku

D:
Unfortunately no, I haven't. I did read a cross-over manga though with Dragon Ball & One Piece, was pretty good. I lose track of things easy, but I'll make a post-it note at my desk to watch it this weekend. Promise.

No worries, it's a big commitment that one.

If you're more in the reading mood though, the manga is also fantastic. Illustrations in it are very well done. ;)

Cool, I'll try out both, but is the series still ongoing? Just wondering if my catching up efforts will be never-ending.

Yep, still ongoing amazingly enough. Doesn't look like it'll be ending any time soon either. There's a strong possibility that it hit the halfway mark a few months ago.

Oh my god, and I thought Dragon Ball was long enough. it doesn't get stale after a good while does it? I see a lot of epics get unfortunately plagued by this.
