Boa Hancock is something of a secondary character. She does play a vital role in the plot at several points, but you won't get to see her for quite a long time. She's one of the Shichibukai, if you've gotten far enough in the show to know what they are.

And yeah... Zoro's probably my favorite as well.

Well that's alright, I can wait for it since I'm having plenty of enjoyment so far. I didn't think it was possible, but this show is actually funnier than Dragon Ball right now. I'm not a fan of wimpy characters, but Coby has been surprisingly great so far.. almost like a Gohan with Krillin's brain, very loveable.

Soundtrack is growing on me too btw, definitely need to snag that when I get around to it. Did you manage to get your hands on Blood The Last Vampire? If not, that's okay. But an anime I'm hoping you check out is Full Metal Panic: FUMOFFU, it's a very very short side-series of FMP, but a hilarious one at that.

Glad you're liking it. I hope you find the whole thing as through-and-through enjoyable as I did. I haven't checked it out yet. I'm still in school for 3 more weeks but I haven't forgotten. I will check it out, promise.

What's going on with OP where you're at now?

I'm currently on episode 13 where Luffy gets hypnotized and I'm just laughing my butt throughout this whole thing. Digging the heart shades Jango is wearing btw. I don't have anything else to do tonight, so I'll be doing a marathon of this again tonight.

I haven't seen Coby for awhile though, is he going to pop up again or was he just a minor character to help with the introduction of the show?

He shows up again, but he goes through a separate growth process that's mostly on the sidelines. Occasionally you'll see episodes covering his progress and he's encountered Luffy again a couple times. His development is pretty interesting...

Hard to say because I haven't seen anything from Coby in a while, but I'm very certain he'll play a large role towards the end.

I've been pretty good man. Thanks for asking. I've had some pretty rough patches in this past month, but I'm getting along just fine. Landed a new job that's paying quite well and I'm on the home stretch to summer break. How have you been?

I just noticed that OP has movies, are they necessary to watch in some order with the show or are they like non-canon (a la DBZ)?

I knock on their doors and try to get them to sign up with mine. The whole pitch is designed to sound like I'm a maintenance guy doing a service check rather than recruiting customers for a company.

They're noncannon. I've watched 1 or 2 and, honestly, found them pretty stupid. Out of the bunch I'd say Strong World is the better of the lot, and it's ok at best. Wouldn't see it until you're around episode 380 to avoid any spoilers.

So you're around Loguetown, huh? That's a pretty cool part of the story. Look forward to the major arcs when they first enter the Grand Line. Especially when they visit Arabasta.

Shame about them movies, but I'll go through a couple anyway. Yeah I'm just about there, Arlong's men were beaten and Luffy just escaped from the sea. I gotta say, this show has some pretty damn unique characters to say the least. I end up thinking they can't top the prior nutjob, but they wind up doing just that. lol

Yeah. You're making some impressive progress through it. Very nice! Something cool to keep in mind, there's some unrevealed mystery surrounding characters with the middle initial "D."

We don't know what it is yet, but out of the characters that have been revealed Monkey D. Luffy and Gol D. Roger are a few of them. There's some significance to it that hasn't been explained yet. Big part of the series eventually, to be sure.
