Re: Clothing Fashions

^That looks about right for the clothing of Fable 3's time period. It's set in a civil war era kind of time if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Clothing Fashions

yeah, it's set in an industrialisationist period, so think london in around 1800, so pre-victorian

Re: Clothing Fashions

the flintlock was invented around 1630 so its 50 years later it would be about in the 1700 witch looked like this:

^still looks like fable 2 clothes to me

allthough in the 'see the fututre' dlc you get the British army uniform witch is from the 1800's:

I saw in an interview PM said the time period was going to be based off the Napoleonic Era.

Re: Clothing Fashions

You really thought the upper class clothing sucked? it made me looks like a pirate. I dyed it black and wore an eyepatch, and even the psycho jester face paint and it was cool.

ANd personally, i dont think fable is set around a particular time period. Its just getting elements from the time periods.

meh it was ok for fable 1/tcl but i like the way its set up now
there is still armour but it does not effect any thing
i can wear any clothes i want and not worry about armour bonus
makes the whole role playing aspect easyer and funner

I agree completely. That was always one of the things I disliked most about D&D.

Re: Clothing Fashions

Armour's pointless when guns are in the game. I know there's a lot of variety in clothes in Fable 2 but they're not generally good. More BETTER customisation, please LionHead.

That would still be zero capes.... Because zero times 0.80 is still zero. but I do agree maybe a few capes. Also some awesome badass clothing for guys and sexier clothing for chicks.

Agreed, which is why all of my female characters wore male clothing. Shirts were optional, though; I like to see my tattoos.

Still, the option should still be there.

Given the architectural style and fashion of the day, it's a safe bet to assume that Fable II took place during the mid- to late-1700s. My theory is that the game ends in the Albion equivalent of ~1760. Fifty years later would make Fable III take place during the 1810s, which coincides with Peter Molyneux's remark about Fable III resembling the Napoleonic Era, which lasted between 1799 and 1815.

I'd still take this with a grain of salt, though. We don't know what the guys and girls at Lionhead are up to, so all we can do is wait and anticipate.

im pretty sure itll be 1800s. fable 2 was 1700's like you said, and plus the picture of bowerstone looks like 1800s.
