Limping on one leg
He had white hair and a goatee
He always understood why people did what they did
It took his life for him to realize
He was wise and ancient

A little girl is resting in bed
completely asleep
She had blonde hair and teddy bear on her side
She never understood why people did what they did
It took a day for her to wonder
She was young and new

A young man is running towards his wife
As fast as he could
He had brown hair and recently shaved
He grew to respect others for why they did what they did
It took loss for him to understand
He was young and brave
