I dont know if anyone has asked this question yet, but what is the easist/quickist way to defeat the faries?

The lightning spell. If you lock onto the fairies and use it then you will never miss.

I use a bow, draw it back before you get close enough for them to notice you, when they stop to throw something at you or spawn creatures, shoot them. If there are npcs in the area you can stay back, let the nymph attack them, and then shoot them.

Level 4 Fireball.

And they're called Nymphs.

I always cast Slow Time and high leveled Divine Fury/Infernal Wrath to deal with the twin nymphs in Darkwood Weir.
