Fable III Has New Race And New Continent Confirmed By Molyneux

Peter Molyneux has confirmed that Fable III will feature a new continent entirely seperate from Albion with a new race of inhabitants.

Speaking to IncGamers at X10, Molyneux revealed the news when asked about areas and races outside the confines of Albion, responding with the simple response, "yes, it will have new races and a whole new environment."

Known as Aurora, the new continent marks the first time the Fable series has ventured beyond the borders of Albion, if you don't count Knothole Island, which was still technically Albion anyway.

Fable III will be out in time for the holiday season.

I was thinking that myself. What is one of the major duties of a king if not to protect the land or invade another?

Well early media suggested the need of a new king for Albion, so maybe to prove oneself worthy, you have to infiltrate Aurora and bring a valuable object back or take the whole country? Something like that.

Sweet. I was right about this too. Aurora is separate from Albion and Samarkand.

Never said it was separate from Samarkand, now did they? We've never seen Samarkand-- just some of the people from it. Which could imply that it's separate, with the "new race" bit, but I wouldn't think so. Samarkand could still be on Aurora. Albion is an island, so it's very easy for a given continent to be separate from it.

And is anyone else curious how they mean "race?" Elves or Indians?

I wonder if Aurora isn't going to be the only other continent that will be available to us. I personally hope Samarkand is in Fable III, if not I hope the DLC it into the game

Albion is an island, so it's very easy for a given continent to be separate from it.

I think the fact that Aurora is inhabited by a new race greatly implies that it is its own region, separate even from Samarkand. We've seen what kinds of beings come from Samarkand. They're black dudes, not a separate species, and there's never been talk of another species inhabiting Samarkand.

They've never said specifically what Samarkand is.

probably dwarves or elves. lets not forget that we've been fighting classical mythological creatures such as goblins (hobbes), pixies, and trolls.

i think they will be dwarves or elves... you know, the races that are classically civilized along with humans.
