Game of Thrones is a ridiculously awesome show. I watched it after the season ended, and I ended up watching episode after episode cause I was sooo hooked. I haven't read the book but I am a big fan of this sort of genre and can't wait till season 2.

I know quite a few people who have picked up the books after watching Season 1.

    ^ Guilty

A couple of teasers have been released by HBO. Naturally none of them really show anything but they're starting to build up hype. My guess is that we'll see some full-blown trailers around the holiday season.

    Teaser 1
    Teaser 2

Looks like some real eye of sauron/mordor-type stuff to me.

Just finished the last book (so far). I will say this, the man knows how to end his books with a climax.
Now I just have NO idea how he's going to finish these books. Hopefully he lives long enough to do it. At 5-6 years per book it could be a close call.

Good news Game Of Thrones fans...
Sky Atlantic HD today announced that the ten-episode second season of Game Of Thrones will return to the channel on Monday 2 April at 9pm, less than 24 hours after it returns in the US.
Based on George RR Martin’s best-selling book series A Song Of Ice And Fire, award-winning drama chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom.
Set to join the show in season two are Rose Leslie (Downton Abbey) as Ygritte, Hannah Murray (Skins) as Gilly, Natalie Dormer (The Tudors) as Margaery Tyrell, Carice van Houten (Valkyrie) as Melisandre, Liam Cunningham (Clash Of The Titans) as Davos Seaworth, Michael McElhatton (Fifty Dead Men Walking) as Roose Bolton, Lord of the Dreadfort, Stephen Dillane (The Shooting Of Thomas Hurndall) as Stannis Baratheon and Tom Wlaschiha (Enemy At The Gates) as Jagen H’ghar.
Congratulations to Peter Dinklage for winning Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes last night for his role as Tyrion.

New season will be a lot of fun. Tyrion's role in the second season is truly astonishing. I wouldn't be surprised if he won best supporting actor 2 years in a row for it.

Looking forward to it, they have said they have had a bigger budget for season 2 so its meant to feel much bigger and more epic than season 1 did. I really liked Tyrion as a character and although ive not read the books myself ive heard that Peter plays the role brilliantly.

The books to this series are amazing. The series name is 'A Song of Fire and Ice', in case you're interested. A lot is going on in these books, and my mom is really into them and says the show is REALLY good too. That doesn't happen often, a show being true and faithful to the books. I really should start watching it, but I also haven't read the last book in the series either.

Ive heard how good the books are but I just dont have the time to read them plus dont want the show ruined by knowing whats going to happen, glad they are working off great material for the show though and I have high hopes it could become a classic.
