Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

There may be some spoilers in this thread so be warned if you have not finished fable TLC and Fable 2 with all the expansions. If you do not want to read all of this post for some odd reason, the gist of my post starts after the dotted line.

In Fable TLC we fought Jack of Blades and defeated him. Twice. His cunning skill and evil mind brought us to our knees as we played through TLC. This knight had a mind of no other and a sprit that haunted Albion for millennia.

After defeating him we chose weather to toss his soul into the lava or have Jack reincarnated himself in ourselves as we place the mask upon our face and become Jack himself.

After time, around the time that Fable 2 took place, The story of the hero that slew Jack was not kept correctly and we do not know whether he was thrown away or kept living as the hero placed it upon his face.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nonetheless, The King of Albion was granted a wish in his younger years as he fought to defeat Lord Lucien and found the three heroes and was granted a single wish... More money than he could imagine, the resurrection of those lost in the re-making of the spire, or to bring back his sister, dog, and family.
If you beat the game and chose the card to bring back your sister you will get a note from her;
"Dear Sparrow,
I woke up today in a peculiar place. It's like a big forest with lots and lots of trees that go of forever. I was scared at first because I couldn't find you, but there's someone here that says he knows us, says he knows our family. He told me his name but I keep forgetting it. Weird. I think he's a King or something. He's very thin and wears a hood and looks scary, but he's nice and I feel same with him here. I hope you're okay Little Sparrow. I somehow know that it's all going to be all right, and we'll be together again one day. He promised me.
Love
Rose"
Jack of Blades was thin and wore a hood. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. In Fable TLC he knew all about your family and used it to bring his sword back to existence. If he wants to know something he will end up knowing it as we have learned. Theresa went to a far away place when you chose not to kill her in TLC. She is an old woman in Fable 2 and at the end of "Back to the Future" the salesman that gives you his oddities finally give you a spire statue that takes you to see Theresa and the salesman later tells you that you should now know the source of the oddities that he has been giving you.
His source is Theresa! She gave Murgo the magical Music Box, which started all of the quest lines for Fable 2! Everything in Fable 2 was planned. According to Fable TLC who was the greatest planner in the game who set you up to get what he wanted? Jack of Blades.

My opinion is that Jack WILL reappear in Fable 3. As the note stated; "He looks like a king or something", Jack of Blades is probably trying to steal your rule over Albion in Fable 3.

Tell me what you think!

Holy crap. You actually are right but know that a bunch of fanboys are going to show up and say '-Uuhh-- Jak waz li3k ded 4 500 yers he innit cuming bakk -uuuhhh---'. Here's a mistake. 'There may be some spoilers in this thread so be warned if you have not finished fable LTC' The 'LTC'

It's generally thought that the man in the letter is Scythe, although JoB was another strong contender. Personally I hope they don'y bring him back. He was ultra cool and awesome, and for that reason I wish that Lionhead don't sell him out.

Re: Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

Well, I put a warning at the start of my post in case. But if anyone thinks that Jack of Blades died so many years ago they are wrong. His host's body died. The whole reason he came back as a dragon in TLC was because instead of resideing in the mask, he went into the dragon. Jack is a spirit who goes inside of the mask and the dragon. The only way to kill a spirit is to destory the spirit, not the spirit's host. Jack has not yet died. Only his body.

I think that seeing as you trap his soul into the mask and you can throw it into the lava, that destroyed him. You could see all of the darkness exploding.

^ True dat. But even if you did choose the good ending, it doesn't mean JoB is dead - Theresa is still alive even though I killed her in Fable Tlc.

As Purple nurple said, there are more than just one choice in Fable TLC because it is an RPG. You might of put the mask on. Then you became Jack who lived on. I mean it doesn's say "Game over, wrong choice, you lose and have to start over the game because you put the mask on and you were supposed to throw it in the lava" at the end of the game. Lionhead let loads of room and leeway for the sequels.

You're right. Jack probably will be back in, but it's kind of hard. Say if you did 1 evilish, in 2 Teresa is still alive or something. You just have to be patient until 2010.

Re: Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

i think they should make it so it reads TLC/F2's save file, so if you threw away the mask you get a storyline. but if you kept the mask you get a completly different storyline.

Re: Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

They could do that with Fable 3 but they cannot for Fable TLC because it was made for the original xbox. Unless they want to conert it but i dont think that lionhead is up for that.

Re: Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

jack of blades was my first thought when i read that note. scythe could potentially be the one, but he was a secondary character. not to mention he definitely wasn't thin. you only met scythe if you got TLC, and even that takes place beyond the story line of the original.
i won't say for sure but i think it's more likely jack than scythe.

also, you raise a good point with the family... jack was a hero, and as such could be a contender for being "family" (though the same could be said for scythe).
+rep

i'm hoping i get to fight jack again.

Re: Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

think it will be optional weather you see him. If you choose family in Fable 2 then it is likely in fable 3 you meet jaack of blades otherwise you are likely to cross paths but Jack of Blades shouldnt play a major part.

Re: Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

Leave Jack dead (or dormant, but out of Fable 3), and bring back the rest of the Court.

That would be pretty cool.

Also have some ties between Lucien and the Court.

Re: Jack of Blades in Fable 3?

^ Really? I thought his actual name was Lucien-douchebag-worst-boss-fight-ever-that-I-had-to-listen-to-in-a-vein-attempt-to-understand-more-stuff-but-then-got-killed-by-Reaver-Fairfax.
Back on topic, I would still love to see any JoB reference, was quite surprised there wasn't much in Fable 2...

ever hear of the saying "in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king"?
in the land of easily defeated enemies, the most epic boss fight is king.

in the fable universe, i found jack the best boss fight out of them all...since it's an actual boss fight.
not to mention the game gave you a much greater motive to beat his face in than any other villain encountered thus far.
