I'm getting frustrated, there's no quest updates or anything like that, my earning gold thing has stopped completely, and most of all, how in the hell do I get into the temples and all that mess, I'm still stuck on the heat wave!!!

The heat wave? Follow the trail, dig up the key, go to the shrine.

There's no trail or anything, the quest has not called me back, where do I dig?

You do have to leave Knothole Island for the next quest to appear, if you haven't tried that yet.
