Torchlight is just such a satisfying game to me.

Nothing beats that feeling of being in the middle of a dungeon when you find a treasure chest that drops that one piece of loot that puts everything you've found thus far to complete shame.

I love that feeling.

Well, it looks like we have a definitive winner, and a definitive runner-up.

Fallout 3 wins 1st place with Oblivion in a definitive second.
Looks like Bethesda really stole the show here!

Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2 tie for 3rd place.

Fable 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Torchlight, and World of Warcraft all tie for 6th!

even though my nomination didn't win, i'm very very happy with the results on this one. it's a ranking that i find to be (for the most part) extremely close to what i personally would have ranked all these games. though bear in mind: no list is perfect. and i am in no way saying that i agree that your favorite game deserves its last place slot or anything like that.
