Sunset House Statues

I went to sunset house, and tried to do the combination to get into the house. I pressed them to the right combination. Nothing happened, so i looked up a tutorial on how to do it, and it looked like they were all in the same spot. When i pressed A when next to them, nothing would happen. I got annoyed, so I shot them, and they died. When i came back in the morning, they were gone, and I don't know how to get them back, and I can't get inside. Is there anyway to get them back, short of starting a new character?

Have you tried sleeping for a long period of time? Also are you going at the correct hour?

i went to sleep and woke up in the morning, and they weren't there, and when i killed them, it was night and they were in their ghostly form
