This thread would get flamed on Bungie.net with all the spelling errors. My favorite part of Fable is the Heroes. Warriors of a special noble bloodline that grants powers of Will to change the world around them for better or worse.

My favorite thing in Fable was always getting access to good weapons early on and evil rolling through most of the story without so much as a challenge.

Don't remember how I managed this in the sequels, but in the original I'd beef up physical shield and get the Cutlass Bluetane before even escorting the traders through darkwood. It's great because even against the final boss it's a viable weapon, albeit not the best option by that point.

At first it was breaking personal bests and owing everything, now it's mostly about nostalgia.

It's Albion itself, man, even though it's rendered on a computer screen, some of the locations are amazingly beautiful.

i enjoy being able to marry 4 women at once and slaughter the entire town in which they reside
look upon my works, wife
look at what your husband has wrought
now prepare for intercourse as i pump my arm at you 20 times in a row

I always found it hilarious to be killing people around my wife whilst she hangs back saying "I'm so happy with you" and "I really do love you, I do". And then she gives me some sort of pickhammer as a gift. "Here honey, if you're getting bored of that sword, here's something else you can use to bludgeon the skulls of whoever's left of my friends".

The beginning of Fable 2 is one of the most memorable, and favorite moments in Fable 2. Because it conveys many good elements such as the story, characters and the fantasy required to create a fable. Two humble children from the streets of Bowerstone do some good or nasty deeds so they can realize a wish.

I have to agree with this and the music.

This might be a little... too attentive to detail, but I really enjoy the emotions that really just gave you some life to your Heroes in Fable I and II. Like seeing the fear on your hero's face and gestures when you see their entire life get turned upside down, or comforting your dog when you first step into the crypt in Bowerlake.

I prefer that over the voiced hero we have in Fable III. It just didn't feel so much as your hero as it was the Lionhead's non-canon books. Fable III does have some emotional moments in the game, but it still didn't feel like it was your King or Queen. Your Sparrow's (or whoever you headcanoned to be the parents) baby who raised them. That's just me.

I agree. Giving the hero a voice killed the projected character quite a bit. I mean for Pete(r)'s sake! After 20 years, does Link have a voice actor? How about Mario? They grunt and whoopee but ultimately their thoughts are exclusively the player's. Even in Mario RPG.

In addition, the good/bad deeds forced on you by the story rendered entire weapon morph progressions impossible (yet they WERE designed AND part of the disc). I saw PM laughing at his oversight in a dev video years ago and couldn't fathom how that was funny to him. He wasted thousands of Microsoft dollars. Literally wasted them. And laughed. Publicly. There is no way any liason he answered to was not blowing up his email when he heard about this. He simply must have not wanted his job any more.
