Where can I buy paintings?

Since we stupidly have to swap everything I need to find a place where I can buy paintings so I can swap the ones I want does anyone know where to find them?

they should be in the furniture store, but all the stores seem to have limited stock. also, they dont always seem to rotate stock unless you buy something. furniture store is my best guess though...i havent really tried to buy paintings though

You get them from villagers and family as presents... some from chests.. some from dig spots... I have about 50 paintings...about 40 of them were gifted to me from villagers.
