Michael, super classic villain? Bela Lugosi's Dracula.

Freddy wasn't a pedophile, he was a child killer. In the remake he is supposed to be a child molester, but classic Freddy was just a murderer. Anyway my favourite is without a doubt Jason.

a. His backstory is so tragic and he comes off as a sympathetic character which is a rare trait for a slasher villain.

b. All his victims deserve to die. Either they are just painfully stupid or a horribly cliched sterotype from the era the movie was made. Often they are both. Combined with the above, I find myself cheering for Jason.

Classic? I think you mean cheesy 80's-90's gimick killers.

Best classic one is the owner of the Bates Motel. 1960 represent.

Hmm, probably Bela Lugosi's Dracula. Along with Boris Karloff, he is one of my favourite horror actors.

The only one to scare me ****less and give me nightmares when I was a kid, still remains my favorite.

Hannibal Lector.

A cannibalistic serial killer with an incredible intelligence and great knowledge in psychiatry... All of this screams intimidation. He is not a man I would like to be in the presense of, and quite frankly, scares the absolute hell out of me, despite his apparent cult anti-hero status. And that hissing, slurpy sound he makes, dare I say more?

Erm probably this guy. If you've ever seen Funny Man you'll recognize him. Basically the vulgar jester that went around murdering everyone who enter some big haunted house in northern England somewhere. This guy was hilarious, even if not that scary, but still my favorite.

The film itself was underrated in my opinion, not many people I know have heard of it. Personally I enjoyed it.

Trailer right here if anyone's interested.

Oh my, that looks freakin' awesome. I've never heard of this film nor the character, but I know I'll be watching it now. I love wild and freakish horror movies from the past (a la From Beyond, Reanimator, etc). Also, what in the world is Velma from Scooby-Doo doing in there?

I was asking the same thing myself when I saw her lol, saying that the film itself is somewhat Scooby Doo-ish in some ways. I highly recommend you watch it, last time I saw it was 5+ years ago, gonna have to dig up a copy somewhere and give it another watch.

Returning, Nosferatu is a strong contestant, so is The Red Death. More modern horror I'd have to go Xenomorph or Michael.

Gonna go with Krueger I think - my childhood horror star.
Though the Xenomorph is also a good answer.
Also the Graboids scared me when I first saw Tremors.
