Restored unused Quest Cards

For years we have known about ten Fable quests that were sadly cut before the original game was released. We know this because these are ten unused Quest Cards that are found in the files. For years people modding Fable have come across remains of these quest and scatter bits of information but the core of these quests have always remained out of reach to everyone unfortunately. However this has finally changed and these quests have finally after nearly twenty years had there secrets blown away!!!. Aeon who has produced the amazing Project Spring/Autumn/Winter/Summer series has dug out what remains of these quests and I can tell you now that these quests were not only months/weeks away from competition but will genuinely leave you scratching your head as to why they were cut in the first place?. Most of his findings are found on his Discord Server as to which you can all see fully animated and voiced cutscenes that were hidden in the files including two Demon Doors and with one of these being simply hilarious. Quests that has Guild Boasts and side quests that use stealth and fun mini-quests. The Fable that was released was truly only half of what we should have ended up with. Aeon has presented all his findings on beautifully presented pdf’s. These quests have full scripts and he hasn’t modded or changed anything that Lionhead hadn’t intended to put in. Away from these quests that were near completion there are other quests that didn’t have Guild Quest Cards but were also well developed and had a lot of work completed on them. These quests have never been mentioned or have been found before by any person to the best of my knowledge. These quests are Haunted House, Return The Artefact/Foiled Theft, Escaped Convict and Help The Sheriff. Some of these quest were made during the Project Ego stage but were still worked on well into the Fable era. Aeon is still finding more information on quests now and constantly updating his pdf’s as more information is found. Very excitingly he has found a quest that was cut during your Guild Training that would have you finding a lamp in the Guild Woods before you tackle Maze. The Guild Master and Maze also have unused conversation lines for this. This quest like the others was fully scripted and ready to put into the retail release but as they changed some elements of your Guild Training they cut this quest out. I will continue to update you guys on any more information that gets found and also any more big discoveries found. These quests are more then just cut elements they are a part of Fable that only just failed to make the final retail release. Work is being made to restore some these quests and I can reassure all that some of these quests retain Fable humour and are well worth preserving.
Edit- Aeon has truly hit the Jack Pot and found much more information on old and new quests. At least three more quests has been found now. He has also found a possible explanation of why Briar Rose disappears midway though the game and only returns near the end!!!. I wouldn’t spoil the surprise yet. I will do must best to update you all soon when Aeon reveals more of his findings and then we will all finally be able to sit down and watch the other 50% of Fable that was cut!!!.

You can find Aeon’s findings on his Discord Server discord discord.gg/J94qGkJ6 . Recently a mod has gone on of the cut Dragon Boss quest. This restores the fully voiced animated cut Demon Door, the cut area Dragon Cliff and the Dragon Trogdor that was cut.

I will only give a sneak peak to these quest until Aeon has completely finished his findings but I will give a hint to what is soon to come. These are Quest Cards that were in the coding and were cut near to Fable’s retail release.

Summary: Get the Lamp.

Summary: Help a man in Oakvale find his missing lover.
•OBJECT_QUEST_CARD_Easy Pickings
Summary: Successfully pick the pockets of the three traders.
•OBJECT_QUEST_CARD_Mad Bomber
Summary: An insane bomb-maker is on the loose in Knothole Glade. Stop him and the explosions.
•OBJECT_QUEST_CARD_Trader Path.
Summary: Escort a wanted trader though Witchwood to Knothole Glade.
•OBJECT_QUEST_CARD_Arena Revisited.

Summary: Activate the bandit camp Cullis Gate so the Guild may gain access to the area.

Ten Quest Cards that were all coded into the game and that should have been released at retail. Two Quests Ransom Victim and Dragon Boss was remade for TLC. Bandit Camp Path Journey is an interesting one and was a precursor to Find The Bandit Seeress. There is Demon Door that was made for this quest and it was different to the quest that we got at retail. There are at least another ten quests that Lionhead worked on that were cut early or at around midway through the game. I can give you the titles of these if your interested and information on these when available?. Some of these quests were completed and had cutscenes ect while others were barely started. These quests have never found before now and are very interesting!!!.
