Fable 3 is basically Fable 2.5, just as people had feared, sure its interesting with a couple of new things and a new approach to the story, but it is no different than most game franchises nowadays... crank out another with recycled content and engine then hope for another $60 cash in.
I'm already crowned, I'd say if you really wanted to rush, the first half of the game is 5 hours max... the second half... well probably another 5 hours tops.
The weapon morphing system is completely ridiculous, you can't buy base weapons, you just get one of each and that's it. They morph every time you open a combat level chest, so 1-5 stars, they morph 4 times. Instead of morphing based on what you think it'd do, its almost random. It will take an action you did a lot before opening the chest at random and morph your weapon accordingly and yes I mean random. As far as I know there's no way to reset it or morph a new weapon, so to get a weapon you want you'd have to 1) Repetitively load and open the chest to look at the parts every time or 2) Replay the game entirely. When someone figures out how to customize your morph properly, please let me know because this sucks pretty hard. Each custom weapon has 4 morphs essentially, the Hilt, the Blade, the Runes, the "Color".
Blacksmith only sells "named" weapons, so I guess they're all "legendary", each legendary has 3 features you can "level" by performing the action on it.
The 3D gui is just a huge waste of time, its no different than a standard menu represented in a 3D form, its nothing innovative as practically every other game has this type of action in some form. Can't see what potions or gems you have either, gotta go to a pawn shop to see your own damn items.
Without a PC version and mods, Fable 3 has some new features that are merely major annoyances
