Fable II Less Epic

I recently played through Fable: TLC again on my PC (Since my X360 is broken.) and while playing it, i got the feeling of epicness (As did the first time I played it) and then i go over to my friend Nathans house to play for awhile. I didn't get the feeling of Epicness.. Fable II is a great game, but I didn't get a that feeling.

Edit: Yes, I see the typo in the name.

I know what you mean. If they had rifles and dexter styles in Fable: TLC than I would stick to it rather than this.

i think the thing that made fable tlc more epic was that you got a sense that the world was coming towards an end in the last few quests, in fable 2 i didnt get that same feeling, it was more of a feeling like, " this is it, its now or never" not really the same scale but nevertheless i liked fable 2 more although i wish the ending would have been longer

I Agree, the feeling i got when i first played fable TLC was imence and i kept playing, even on my 50th play through i still felt like th game was awesome and i could play for another 50 play throughs (but my disc being scratched to hell put an end to that dream) but when i played fable 2 i felt as if some-thing was missing, somthing that made fable tlc great.

Re: Fbale II Less Epic

I haven't had the chance to play lost chapters yet. it's hard to find where i am, but actually thught the original fable, as great as it was, just wasn't long enough. i'd completed the game in about 14 hrs, and that was doing almost everything. all 20 keys, all demon doors, all fist fighters groups, etc. With Fable II, it took alot longer. I like to explore, and there was definitley more to explore. on the first day i had the game, i played for 16 hours, i think i only made it to westcliff. there definitely was less 'Doom and Gloom' in fable 2 though. i have always thought the term 'epic' to be to do with how large something is, or how long it takes, like 'Lord of the Rings', that to me was epic, or, the new Metallica album, that was epic. So, i have to dissagree, i think fable 2 was definitly more epic, but for me, no game has ever been more epic than Final Fantasy VII.

^i heard they are doing a remake of ff7 for the ps3.

The name of this tread should be fable 2 not epic. There was nuthing tha got me excited at all although i never put the controller down which was the intention, TLc i used the controller and kicked bosses ass

I reckon it's the baddies. In Fable TLC you had this demonic immortal badass who was going to destroy the world for no reason. In Fable 2 you had some crazy magic guy who was at least trying to "fix" the world in his own twisted way.

And it doesn't help that you kill him in one shot

that remake is the only reason i would bother to buy a Ps3
the original took 7 years to make, i hope the remake takes longer, because i seriously hope they don't frack up 'The Perfect RPG', and by the time it comes out, the Ps3 will be half the price of what it costs now. It's not worth what they are charging for it. I've heard of people having to send their Ps3's in for repair only weeks after purchase, and having to wait up to 6 months to get it back, anyway, that is off topic.

I can't believe people are still complaining about fable 2 for 1 reason or another, but what are they doing? they're still playing it, over, and over, and over, so it can't be that bad, can it? i belive that in itself makes it kinda epic too. i'm on my 4th game already. i still can't put the controller down. i have decided to take today off from it, but it's still all i can think about doing

it's ok dewd, not picking on you, it was just an example. i know you've returned to halo 3 already, i'll have to join you soon

Yeah I love fable TLC and Fable 2 is good at first but it's pretty much lost it's appeal the third time you play it with a new character  Dont know weathe rit was worth the wait tbh

Re: Fable II Less Epic

i never thought id say it...but, i reckon it'd have to be jack. come on, jack of blades has to be one of the best bad guys in ANY game ive ever owned, and he really brought that sense of epicness to the game. also, i prefered the music in the first fable, which might have something to with epicness, but i know what everyone means, fable 1 was just more epic. also, i want dlc with snowspire and stuff in, so that its like desolate, and theres still archons shrine, and that creepy place (forgotten name, sorry). also, i really miss witchwood. my favourite area, definately epic. I NEED EPICNESS!!

Re: Fable II Less Epic

i was so lewking forward to visiting knothole and snowspire 500yrs later, they pretty much just redid bowersatone and thats it. i hated bowerstone the most lol.
I thought this game was going to be so epic because there are no heroes so youd be like a friggin god to the villagers but nah, i guess the guild isnt coming back then either lik idhoped. so fab3 wont be anymore epic tanthis one.

I like the good and evil effects in FABLE TLC than in fable 2.

The good and Evil effects are better in Fable 2 to be honest.

The towns were also more fun in Fable 1. And the lame picture pop in in towns ( When expressing or Aiming ) Is pretty gay.

Re: Fable II Less Epic

unfortunatley yes. but it was still good. the end is really what killed the epic feeling. first play though i really got a rush of emotions, espescially rage when he shot the dog, then that weird ass dream thing is where it droped the ball. thats really where the end starts to crash. i think they could have done a much better job on the ending.

Re: Fable II Less Epic

Ya if the feeling of chaos was there like in fable tlc wen u hav 2 follow jack of blades and stuff it would be way better. Also i think they should have made the world more morphable, not just some towns like bowerstone and westcliff.
