Could be one of a few things, if you are running any emulation software like daemon tools, alcohol 120, or any virtual drives. If so then you will need to disable them before running the game.

Sometimes it’s to do with outdated Bios on Skylake motherboards or processors so updating them can fix it.

Also could be to do with the Securom copy protection program which is installed with the program.

1. Open the command line by pressing Start > Run...
2. Type cmd and push [Enter]
3. Please type in rd /s "%APPDATA%\SecuROM" and press [Enter].
4. Answer Y to the Y/N question and press [Enter] to complete the process.

This will remove the SecuROM folder but any SecuROM application that uses UserData will rebuild these files and folders when it launches in future.

Also a fix listed as following...

Start > Run, then Type regedit

at this folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/MountedDevices/

Right Click the Mounted Devices folder
Click Permissions,
Click Advanced,
Look under the "TYPE" header for any labels that say "Deny", if there
are any highlight and click Edit, Check Full Control and "OK".
