so i got all 50 of the gargoyles, went down to the trove and went for that chest only to find out that the treasure was a ROTTEN APPLE!
i was like, wtf...lionheads gotta be playing a joke on me.

sure enough there was a crack in the wall behind the chest containing their real treasure which is the legendary crossbow, 'the rammer'

I prefer mine. More damage and a ghoul augment.

lol made me laugh this is. Both of them ranged weapons suck tbh, the strongest ranged weapon by far is the Enforcer - Legendary Blunderbuss.

However, the best ranged legendary weapon i have found so far is the Red Dragon - Legendary clockwork pistol that has augments which make you cause more damage to enemies while taking less yourself.
Although not obvious at first, The Red Dragon can do more damage than any other weapon in the game - even more so than The Enforcer - due to it allowing the player to spam the shots as fast as his finger can allow. This results in typical damage output of around 125-150 damage per second (DPS), reloading inclusive. Comparing this to the Enforcer, which is a typical single shot gun Blunderbuss that only allows the specified 177 damage (approximately 85 DPS), the resultant DPS is much higher.

DPS = Damage Per Second.

The Red Dragon (Clockwork Pistol)

Damage - 41
Damage Type - Bullet
Augments - Devestation & Lucky Charm
Reload Time - 0.75
Range - 35.0
Ammo Capacity - 6

The Enforcer (Blunderbuss)

Damage - 177
Damage Type - Bullet
Augments - Barkskin & Lucky Charm

Ammo Capacity - 1

EDIT - Obviously i am talking about before download the new Knothole Isle (DLC) and the See the Future (DLC) =)

Pssh, Best Ranged weapon in the game is:

Master Flintlock Pistol (4 Augment Slots)

Put in: Flames Gift, It's Not Luck, Luck and Life, & Luck and Skill.

As much as I know it's a rule...that was a little unnecessary. And don't we dislike repeated threads?...aren't we supposed to find threads that have the topic we want...so I'm not too sure how you would solve this problem if you wanted more information...but I guess I'm just a little ignorant about everything
