And I THOUGHT there was something shady going on with you two. This is nothing like the time I knew a couple for three years and didn't realize they were actually officially dating until they announced they were getting married in front of a roomful of 30 people. For them the overwhelming response was "Are they joking?" For this it's more "well, kinda figured."
