I once saw an old man in the park.
He looked kind of funny.
I walked up to him.
He said something to me.
I don't know what it was.
Or what he meant.

He kept looking around.
As if he was trying to find something.
" Are you ok?", I said
He looked at me.
Then he said something to me.
Again I didn't understand
But it sounded like he was fine.

I looked around too.
Everyone was looking at this man funny
As if he was planning something
As if he was a disturbance
Men then approached in suits of black
They took away the man.

I notice him trying to say something to me
But he couldn't
He couldn't be understood.

It feels like its a view of how society sees an outsider or a "rebel"

Its good anyway you take it. If it invokes people to think behind the words and find a deeper meaning in them then its something to be proud of. Another great and thought provoking poem :)

I think its the way I read things in my mind, it doesnt sound as good as it should.. I read it in a mono tone, sentence after sentence sort of way..

I always read poetry in the fluency of a guy giving a memorable speech

One can argue that can follow up my "society's view" point. The monotone of the many becomes a dull and misunderstood voice. Or i could be talking bull**** because its 3 in the effing morning.

I don't know, I've been listening to some audio poetry and people just don't see it as art. eh, might just be me.

Its 3 in the effing morning! Cut me some slack you monotone robot :p
im kidding but i don't think tone of voice really matters when reading a poem. Its for the reader to decide whether there are hidden meanings much like how people view art.
Its like how English teachers think there's a deeper meaning in the sentence "the curtains are purple." The author just meant the bloody curtains are purple!

Im probably the most non-artsy person on the forums, so dont take my opinion offensively.. My opinion sucks when it comes to art
