I always hated moving house - such a ball-ache and then you've got to contact all the utilities and anyone who has ever posted to your address EVER to keep them up to date. And then you get the previous owner/tenant's mail for, like, years and (if you're lucky like us) bailiffs popping over wondering where the "other woman who lived here" has gone.

In my last house the previous tenants had run away in the night leaving a debt of about £17,000. When Steve and I moved into our current home, the previous owner and her ex husband left about £10,000 in debt and unpaid bills which took a lot of convincing for the utility companies to not tack onto our account. We still get their debt collection letters even after 5 years of living here. One of these days I'm going to tell the bailiffs her new address and see what happens... /evil cow.

Hope you're enjoying being a new place though - once you're settled it's so much nicer
