So, we have been told about The Court and how they once came from to void and enslaved Albion.
We know that William destroyed both The Knight of Blades and The Queen of Blades with the Sword of Aeons which he stole from The Jack of Blades in the Void. And we know that The Hero Of Oakvale finished him off in TLC.
BUT could there be a King of Blades? Fans speculate that there is and these are some reasons why.
Firstly, The Crawler.What was he?

a) Was he simply the Antithesis of the world? The physical manifestation of sadness, fear and anger of Albion's people?
Maybe. BUT The Crawler was far too easily defeated and with him completely gone, where would the sequel go? It was stated before the release of 3, that plans had already been made for 3, 4 and 5, so I presume that they will be a series with a continuous plotline.

b) Was he a Primal Shadow? Like those followed by shadow worshipers? Like the one that destroyed The Temple of Shadows, leaving only Maelstrom behind?
Maybe. BUT Other than the fact that he first appears in a temple and has some association with shadows, there is no evidence for it. Primal shadows cause physical damage and used weapons. The Crawler uses his Shadow Minions, powers of body possession and Psych to cause damage, so he could not possibly be a Primal Shadow.

c) Was/Is he a member or servant of The Court?
I think so.

He commands "Shadow Minions" which possess statues that look similar to the Minions used by Jack in TLC.
He must be from the Void. The realm ruled completely by The Court.
"But you, too, wish for the black Void don't you?"
He knows Theresa.
"Did the blind seer not tell you about us? Did she not warn you?"
BUT
-He wasn't/isn't Jack of Blades
*Jack is more a man of conquest, not a destroyer.
*Jack would attack the hero personally. His behavior is all wrong really.
*He makes no reference to his time in Albion.
*He does not wield the Sword of Aeons (which was put into the Void with him).
-He wasn't/is Knight or Queen of Blades
*They were defeated and Jack had their masks at the end of TLC

He must be the previously unmet King of Blades.
1. He appears to have a head in the shape of a King's crown.
2. He commands his Children as if he were their father figure/ruler.
3. In Fable 3 Limited Collectors Edition card deck he is King Of Clubs.
4. He says "A great wave of darkness will cover your land. They will come for your King. Who would sit upon the throne of Albion?". Perhaps he wants the Throne?
5. "We have waited centuries for you", suggests that he is an ancient being with an old grudge on Albion.

6. He has at least 3 faces? Do they not remind you of the Court's masks?
Also, some fans believe he could be The King of Shadows from the Shadow Court too. But that is just a thought.

Theresa seems to have known about a catastrophe of this scale for some time and has been preparing for it.
She gave Lucien the idea of constructing The Tattered Spire.
She used the Heroes to put The Spire in her control.
She put a Hero on the thrown.
Who knows what she did in the 500 year gap between TLC and 2!

I don't think we've heard the last of The Darkness.
Make way for The King.

Who agrees? Who disagrees? :troll:

I havent really had much thought into detail about fable plotline, just because, well its average.. But this makes me intrigued and curious!

Well done, thanks for the info and the "could be's" to what fable might be..

Fable's plotline was amazing in TLC and it was really good in the sequel.. 3 is the only one that truely failed.. The King of Blades fits the events that have happened so far :)

Just because fans speculate a "King of Blades" doesn't mean it will happen

It's like me speculating I'm a millionaire and expecting to win the lottery

i think you are completely wrong. lion head dont give a **** about the plot as a hole if they did then you would be the same hero and not start of as a boy/girl in the beginning of 2 and 3. insted you would be 500 like Theresa and it would just ask boy or girl. thats it. not start over as a two year old running around. and there is practically no connection with 2 and 3. so i ask you all do you give a **** about the ((king of blades)) or do you want lion head to do there thing and hopefully give us another cool ass game like fable TLC (witch was the BEST).
(beacuse 2 and 3 sucked)....

Sir, you are VERY wrong here...

For one, the series is known as Fable because Lionhead wanted to tell a fable, a synonym for fantasy story. A fable can be about just one person, or it can be about a land, or even a family. Its about Albion, definitely, and it definitely revolves around The Bloodline of the Archon, whom the Hero of Oakvale, the Hero of Bower Lake, and the Hero of Brightwall are members of. You couldn't play the Hero of Oakvale in the sequels because when they were making Fable 2, no one at Lionhead thought about reading saves from the first game. Save reading became known and common when Mass Effect 2 was announced, which was released 2 years AFTER Fable 2. And in the first game, your character could be ANYTHING, from evil to good, spellwarrior to sharpshooter. No way would Lionhead make you use a specific warrior at the start of a Fable game.

"There is practically no connection with 2 and 3". ?!?!?!?! In Fable 3, you are the child of the Hero from Fable 2. How is THAT not a connection?! In Fable 2, there was an achievement for owning 2.5 million gold worth of property, which is known as "Ruler of Albion". In Fable 3, your parent was the Ruler of Albion.

Also, your spelling is GOD-AWFUL.
(EDIT: Sorry, I was in a bad mood, so yeah. Excuse me saying your spelling is bad)

Leave us to speculate. It may or may not be in the game, but hey, its great fun to speculate. And if all this speculation is actually true, we can say "We saw that coming!"

That's a far deeper speculation then I ever thought possible. I think most of us can agree that fable 3 was good, but it wasn't great like its predecessors. Even then the continuation of the franchise is becoming more flawed. I'd be great if fable 4 would be that thought out but its unlikely. The best i can personally hope for is that they make the plot line longer and less BS. (example, fable 3 you spent that time gathering a rebellion then Logan turns around "nah, don't want the kingdom anymore. Troll lol.")
plus, it isn't on the kinect. That was a d-bag move.
