These two songs have been my "sing/hum when I'm bored" songs for over a decade now. Doesn't help that both the songs have been featured in adverts.

I used to have that with some generic mainstream songs. But that was when I didn't really have stuff that I very much enjoyed. Now that I do, 90% of the songs that are stuck in my head are the ones the I listen to so much that it's hard to forget. And the rest are songs on the radio that I can't stand, and the extremely negative experience associated with it, combined with the fact that I don't even know the song makes me remember it. Thank Santa I only hear the radio only once a week.

Thankfully, I don't mind this one. In fact, it's one of the only rap songs I've ever been indifferent about, or perhaps even, dare I say, liked. Well, it is about doing the opposite of writing stupid trendy club music and leaving a legacy of actual artistic work. A message I can get behind. Besides, even if it's just the same sixteen-note chord progression on repeat, the lyrics are a step above any other rap song I've heard.
