It's not overly expensive to buy: LE Guide May not be the most sensible thing to ask for and post copies of illegally copied guides on here (especially as your first post). EDIT: Cheaper Standard Guide

I haven't looked at the guide at all but i'm going to say it's really up to you :) All the info in the guide will end up on the net for free soon enough so it's just whether you want to pay the money and get a glossy book or sit with a laptop open when/if you get stuck :)
