First off, just want to be clear that I love Fable.

Fable 1 and 2 were amazing. Fable 3 was average but playable. Never bothered with Journey or heroes.

I have been on this forum since the release of Fable 2.

But honestly, given what little we have seen of this game so far, I'm questioning if it's actually something I want to play.

I have been extremely reserved in buying any modern games that have released in the last 5-10 years. I feel like they try too hard to appeal to a " modern audience" and seem to have that distinct sweet baby inc sort of design to the plot and the characters.

To anyone that really wants to play the game, by all means go for it.

But im going to sit this one out until a few months after it's release, once the real honest game reviews come in with solid perspective.

In the mean time im completely happy with fable 1 and 2.

On another note, very thrilled to report people are now modding fable 2, and there is footage around youtube and reddit of people using the fable 2 dragonstomper .48 and reavers sword.

Very cool. Apparently the dragonstomper is a reskinned clockwork pistol with insane amounts of damage.

I dunno, I'm cautiously optimistic about it I guess. It all depends on the reviews.

Well said. Im not trusting mainstream stuff like IGN or youtubers that are clearly given kickbacks to write good reviews. Ill wait for months down the line once the honeymoon phase of the game is over and the real opinions come in.

It's gonna be a real roll of a dice with playground games honestly. I love what Lionhead did with 1, 2, 3 but yeah I don't know what to expect just based on trailers either. Just a lot of hope things are good. At least get the art style right ya know

The combat is looking pretty solid and if they can make the story interesting and nail the comedic tone the combat will hopefully stitch the whole package together. They have amassed quite the development team to work on the title.
