Orange Box is 2? How the hell does that work? They get to enter like 3 games as one? That aint right. And halo shouldn't even be on there. It wasn't nearly as good as Halo: Combat Evolved or Halo 2.
And I never even heard of Uncharted. Wtf

The Orange Box would have been there for Episode 2.
Uncharted was the No.1 game on PS3 and actually looks impressive.
Halo 3's sales were phenomenal thats why.

Again based around sales id imagine, lots of people have still never heard of Mass Effect oddly enough.

Agreed. It was much better than Halo 3. I played through Halo 3 in oneday. On Legendary. Well me and a friend did legendary CO-OP in about 7 hours.
Halo 3 was a good game.
But Halo: CE and Halo 2 were great games. As was Mass Effect. And I dont care about the multiplayer aspects of Halo 3. Those were good but, not enough to warrant a GOTY spot.
Not even close. If I had not lost my copy of Halo 3 when moving I'd still be playing it though.
I guess Uncharted being for PS3 would be why I never even heard of it. Strange though because I watch X Play often. Not recently though as I can't get cable out here. But I'm moving again in May so its not that big a deal.

Forgive my harsh language, but Halo 3 was garbage. The game introduced nothing new to the gaming community. There was far too much hype in the game and they bought into it for these awards.
Mass Effect not being in the top five was a very big mistake, especially given the contributions the game gave to the gaming community that were started by KOTOR.

How can you seriously say that with a straight face? Halo 3 had the best community tools for a console game ever... the theater mode and forge map maker were amazing. Also being the first console game to be able to upload screenshots straight to your online profile on the official website. These are tools that before this were only available on PC's and for PC titles, which was why the PC communities were so much tighter than console ones. Id say that was pretty groundbreaking and anyone who doesnt wish to see the theater mode and replays of Halo 3 in every shooter is lying. I mean id kill for that in COD 4, being able to watch and save a replay of a cool sniper shot and be able to watch replays of online matches and levels to study maps and players tactics and such. Also they have the best matchmaking, party and lobby system for online in any game, and even Infinity Ward took inspiration from the Halo 3 system for COD 4. Cant just slate a game as garbage because of the shortcomings of some of things in it or because you were disappointed by some aspects because some aspects of the game were amazing and shouldnt be overlooked because of parts that didnt deliver.
