When in my old house was being installed with a driveway when I was 5 (2 years short of the child genius, I know ), the builders let me spend like half an hour a day on the digger. I felt like I was on the top of the world. I didn't do much but pick up dirt and put it back somewhere else, but it was still AWESOME.
