360 to computer monitor

I try to hook up my 360 to my computer with a cord that belongs to my Geforce 8800 GTS graphics card.

The cord takes the 360's RGB contacts into its slots. Then it divides into:
GRAPHICS CARD (this one is the one that goes in my graphics card. It's black.)
S-Video in / out (don't have S-video on my computer.)
Comp In (this is a orange, round and female contact.)

EDIT:
I just noticed that the RGB female contacts on the cord says *something* out. But shouldn't female contacts only accept connections and not offer them?..

EDIT2:
The RGB cords says:
Red: Pt OUT
Green: Y OUT
Blue: PbComp OUT

Re: 360 to computer monitor

Its not PT...Its PR. :) also known as Components and Also known as RGB. :)

Re: 360 to computer monitor

im not that smart(:geek:can u say that in english?

Re: 360 to computer monitor

Eh... If I were you, I'd just stop bothering with trying to use that thing that comes with your graphic card and buy the real official thing: http://www.webhallen.com/prod.php?id=46051

That's what I used until my dreams came true and I got a bigass plasma TV, heh.

plasma screens arnt THAT amazing

I think that we can all agree that they pretty much are.

Re: 360 to computer monitor

so, u have a point, but hawks are cooler then plasma screens

Re: 360 to computer monitor

I don't think plugging my 360 into a hawk and trying to play a game would be a very pleasant experience, for me or the bird.

So:

Plasma TVs > Hawks

Re: 360 to computer monitor

lol, +rep, i give it to easy, oh well, but what does the dude who posted first mean?

Re: 360 to computer monitor

He is trying to hook his 360 up to his PC monitor, using somewhat of a mystery cord he got with his PC's graphics card. I'm not sure it works, so I recommended to him the official cord from Microsoft that was made just for that, since I've personally used it.

Sherlock Holmes and the case of the Mystery Cord.... :sly:

That's got potential that has.

Re: 360 to computer monitor

I solved it, kind of. Cant afford the official cord right now, so I just moved up ye olde television to my room.

I'm not kidding, 1/3 of my rooms total space is now occupied by electronic equipment..

Id agree with that. :neo:

Re: 360 to computer monitor

plasma screen > hawks...
you dont get crystal clear picture with a hawk...
perfect entertainment system: plasma screen + surround sound speakers (with sub-woeffers so when a grenade goes off all the stuff in my room shakes) + high level computer that can play crysis on maximun settings (that good) without blowing up...
