360 wired controllers problem

One of my wired controllers hvnt been working. I plug it into the xbox but it doesnt flash or anything. When i turn on the xbox the controller does nothing. I cant use it. I tried this on my pc too. It still doesnt work. Does anyone know why? and if i need to buy a new one.

Check the cord for cuts and scrapes.

try looking at the USB end for plug damage failing that get a star headed screwdriver (most electricians or tech tool kits should contain one) crack the baby open and have a look if all else fails you'll still have a bust pad but you'll have got to see your pad "naked"
