5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

Well, I'm sure I could come up with MANY more reasons, but here are my top five:

1. The creation of Windows Vista
2. Buying out game companies to make games Vista-Only (such as Halo 2, Shadowrun)
3. The dreaded red ring of death
4. Skipping 359 Xbox's making us think we were in 2150 or something, sneaky buggers :ninja:
5. Creating Windows Vista like a retard, always asking you "are you SURE you want to open the file, are you positive?"

And these are my top five reasons for hating Microsoft, please share your feedback!

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

1. What's wrong with Windows Vista. (XP is better anyway lol)
2. Because the want more money! :)
3. You can't blame Microsoft for the ring. Yesterday i got RROD. And i checked the "secret-code" on the Xbox and it gave me 0002 and it means "Power Supply problem" And, i can also be your own wrong because you overheated your Xbox Aristodemus.

4. Lol?

5. It's because people that's not that advanced on the computer don't do wrong thing. Btw, you can shut of that option.

Give us 2 more reasons. ;)

Yes, i got Windows XP. Not Vista. 8)

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

Whatever, if you shut off that option, you become instantly vulnerable to spyware/viruses and various other computer plagues xD, and I never overheated my own Xbox, I've yet to find out what's wrong with it.

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

I havent got a problem with Microsoft at all, they have also helped fund some of the best games developers in the industry.

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

I didnt overheat my Xbox i told that YOU did overheat your's!

And if you "shutdown" that option why should you get viruses? Now you know. You said it was annoying. And it's defending your computer?

Fix some "Anti-virus, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Trojan, Anti-Keylogger and so on. ^^"

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

3. my rrod is 0102, general hardware error. which is Microsoft's fault... stupid solder. i assume.

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

It can be yours to. ;)

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

1. Windows Vista
2. Windows Vista
3. Windows Vista
4. Paying for xboxlive
5. Windows Vista

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

Just about every new computer is equip with Vista. If you want XP they charge you EXTRA for it... what kind of bull sh-t is that?

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

1. Windows vista Flunked big time!!!! (literally they're not trying to improve it there actually scapping it)

2. RROD!! for stuffing my XBOX 360!!! then when i hit it hard it was fine????/

3. Trying to monopolize everything Electronical!!!!

4. For being Microsoft!!!!

5. Because everything you do yourself CRASHES AND BURNS!!!! (and for Stealing GUI (graphical user interface) from MAC and for stealing Mii's from Nintendo!!!!!)

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

I love Microsoft products, but I feel, they could make things, to last. Use higher grade parts, might help. It would only be to their benefit.

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

the title 360 is because microsoft wanted to create a gaming platform that "surrounds" you, as if you are engulfed in the enviroment. it makes sense, if you think of a 360 degree turn. think about it.

and for the other complaints, like the Vista Only games.. thats stupid, compatibilty options, just like in XP is there. (XP allows you to run games and applications in native Win95, Win98/se, WinNT, and Win2000 drivers)

for the RROD, at least microsoft incorporated that into the system to allow users to know if their xbox is having a technical issue, yeah that sucks that i happens, but you cant expect everything to be perfect, even if its a game console.

the whole thing about "are you sure you want to open this file?" is there because alot of people that are not that computer literate are starting to use computers, some people need that to understand what they are doing, sounds dumb, but its why its there.

Vista is not the best OS, but what about ME? Vista is alot better than Me, period. by the way, if you dont like it, dont use it, you have a choice. its called, Formating the drive and installing the OS of your choice.

There is no reason to hate microsoft, they are a company that is expanding every day. if you owned a company like that, wouldnt you want to be the biggest and best? and for those that are Apple freaks, think about this, Microsoft owns over half of Apple inc. i own an iMac and i love it, but sadly enough, i find myself using XP on it more than OSX Leopard.

Thanks for your opinion, but they seem to be out of spite and not out of reason.

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

I don't see the problem with vista and microsoft as a whole, but thats me, i don't know much about the stuff. I have vista on my laptop but i didn't upgrade, it came with it so didn't have any problems. So I have no quarrel :D

I agree, I have nothing against Microsoft.
And why people hate Vista? Because it`s not compatible with earlier stuff?
I have XP.

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

microsoft is alright, i just hate windows period. i prefer Ubuntu Linux anyday...

Re: 5 Reasons to hate Microsoft, whether you like them or not.

I used to rage against microsoft when I was 13, then I realized that all companies do the same thing, if not do more of it. I have a pc and a mac, I used to have linux but for me it just wasn't practical and I didnt enjoy it at all- (some people accuse me of not "getting it").

Theres alot more things to be worried about then software companies doing whatever they can to make a quick buck, since thats basically just how capitalism works.

I do agree that vista is ****ing awful though.
