50% I could have Fable II tomorrow.

I've just heard that a Kmart about 20 minutes from me is breaking the release date. So 9am tomorrow morning I will call them to confirm this, and If they are selling it I will buy it.

Yeah I heard Kmart are going bust and a result of this is to sell all stock. Makes me angry that they never opened one up in Scotland. :(

Guess as they are closing (if its soon) would be a good loophole to get around the legal issues they could get for breaking release date. Also guess they dont have much to lose if they have already gone bust.

No this is an Aussie K-Mart (we don't have Walmart here, K-mart are giants here in the Australia). Still, I was told it was being sold today.

This might hurt Austrailia for future release dates. I have seen the game at the store where I work and took a shot of it with my phone. I want to wait for the release date though. Getting it early would be like opening my Christmas presents on Dec 21st. It would spoil the release date celebration.

Not for nothing, but aside from the Halo franchise.... Microsoft can't enforce a street date worth a half-damn.

I went to Comet today and the women at the counter was ready to sell me fable 2 there and then, game in hand but the price came up as £999.99 on the till and according to the store manager it will not change until 24th 00:00am to prevent any members of staff selling it early. That's what Microsoft should have all vendors do.
Just think how I felt. Card in hand, game on counter. It's like I was 1000 ft in the air and then all of a sudden I was six feet under.

No luck for me. The story goes as I know some1 over my xbox live who lives 20minutes away from me had had gotten Fable II from a Kmart near me. But It turns out I was a day late, Microsofy found out! and Kmart had to send back all its copies of Fable II as punishment (probably get sued and fine) and also they won't be getting many copies of Gear of War 2.

Hm, they really go that far? Goodness, I didn't know they would do that?:unsure: It seems pretty dumb to me to take such a chance, with the results, as they are.
Mine's coming UPS, so I will just wait.:)

Tis a good game. There's many things in it that I wasn't expecting. If anyone has any questions at all, message me on here or on LIVE.
