any one know wat kinda number this is? some called my phone and these are the only numbers that showed...801-66...anyone know wat it is? or could guess?

at least thet only called once...i hate it when ppl call ALL the time, even after u told them 50 god forsaken times that its the wrong number!:ninja:

I've gotten on phone call from a number like that before also (on my cell phone). I knew what it was at the time but I can't remember now! :(

EDIT: I'm thinking it's a phone call from an automated type thing that some businesses use to remind people of things instead of actually calling. My memory sucks.

If people text me from AIM that number comes up as the contact but it also shows a screen name.

I've heard of modem-hikers that tries to make your dial-up modem dial a number that cost like 100$ per minute... when i get a call that is like 055985484784 i hear different tones. Modems can be manipulated via different sounds because they are practically advanced phones.

then he went on about all these questions and all i said was yes.

We keep getting automated dialling - the number keeps calling you until you answer unless you unplug the phone for half an hour at a time. And even if you do answer, you find out it's a fax machine :roll:

Dunno about US, but here we have something called the Telephone Preference Service and Fax Preference Service whereby for free you can register your telephone and fax numbers and they ensure that you get no more unsolicited phone calls.
