A chance to brag

For everyone who, like me, has at least a minor superiority complex or similar, or is just a completionist, here is a chance to brag about anything fable 3, for example:
what you are going to do in game

how much bonus content you have got (pre order, collectors ed., book, controller)

how much info you've added to this site relating to fable 3, etc.

and then i'm sure someone will congratulate you on your persistence, vigilance, deep pockets or similar.

Ill start off. combining all the Fable 3 based stuff i've pre ordered or tagged to pre order, i have spent a total of £60.23 ($93.52) on Fable 3 related stuff and will get:

• A new quest: Uncover the mystery of the haunted forests of Silverpines and earn the legendary sword, Wolfsbane, deadly against wolves and balverines.
• Exclusive location: Unlock a new region, ideal for settling down with a family and discovering new treasures.
• Fable III playing cards: Created by Lionhead, these cards depict every type of character in “Fable III,” including Heroes, royals, rebels and villains from across Albion and beyond.
• Guild Seal Coin: The coin features a Good side (blue) and Evil side (red) to assist players in making critical decisions that will impact the fate of the world forever.
• A new dog breed: Renowned for its loyalty, the Boxer is a brave canine companion worthy of greatest Queens and Kings.
• One unique outfit: Unearth one male and female outfit from the mysterious, faraway land of Aurora, a new destination in your “Fable III” adventures.
• The Dragonbreath Tattoo Set: You will be able to customise your in-game character with a variety of Dragonbreath tattoos!
• The Absolver: After Lucien was defeated, Hammer took this weapon and wreaked vengeance on evil in the name of her Father. Get it in-game when you preorder!
• Access to the Fable III Villager Maker: Utilise the Villager Maker tool to create your own male or female villager with more than 2,000 different variations. This includes creating a backstory, clothing, accent & hairstyles. Preorder to transport your villager into Fable III, allowing you to unlock a new quest and go for gold!
• The Balverine Order and Bonus Weapon: The book and in-game content

as well as the game of course

Re: A chance to brag

Well. I'm planning on pre-ordering the collector's edition. If I can scrounge up the money, then I may get the book. Has it been said what sort of weapon comes with it?

Re: A chance to brag

ONLY getting the Limited Edition.

I really want all that other bonus in-game content - BUT I don't need an extra controller or a book.... F*ck you Lionhead, greedy jerks!

Re: A chance to brag

^ That, but I'm a sucker for in-game stuff. I enjoy lore so I'll be getting the book and the controller is a given because I need a new one anyway.

So I'll basically be getting all the extras, but so far it's a choice between the GAME addition or the GameStop. Leaning slightly in favour of the GAME one because I dislike that sword immensely.

Re: A chance to brag

I've been in need of a second controller, so I'm buying the controller. I'm preordering the LC to get the LC stuff and the Preorder Bonus. I'm also getting that book. So all in all i'm getting everything for this game. And seeing that Eid is coming up on september, I may have the surplus of money I need. I'm also getting a job. Thats at least 140$.

Re: A chance to brag

Why would we need a chance to brag? If anything, we should be ashamed of ourselves for spending that much money on just ONE game and for a meager bit of extra content no less.

killjoy.

And besides, if you've got money, it WILL get spent sooner or later. Also, if you read the first post, this isn't just a place to post how much money you've given to lionhead.

no news on what weapon comes with the book, and the LCE content details are everywhere now.

Sorry for so many consecutive posts, but... Finally, someone who agrees that the sword looks worse than the hammer!!

I think a lot of millionaires would like to speak to you.

I did read it and you said this is a thread to brag about how much money you're spending. That and how much information you managed to copy & paste. Is that supposed to be an achievement or something?

Re: A chance to brag

We all know what features come with the limited edition, theres already a thread about it, so why did you need to list all of it. Anyway you only get 3 quests, and when it comes to extra content, forget fancy weapons and dogs, I pefer a quest line to be added to the story.

Mmm, more quests, my favorite!

If you actually read the above, bragging about spending is only 1 line there.

Millionaires save their money and invest it etc. but you can't do anything with a fat stack of legal IOU's except spend them, otherwise they are just wads of paper/ chunks of alloy. even if you are miserly enough to save it all to your deathbed, it just gets stolen by the government treasury if you didn't leave a will, or spent by relatives if you did. money Always gets spent because anyone who thinks abot it long enough knows that all money is is official IOU's, like loyalty cards or vouchers.

And the other line consists of bragging about how much information you "contributed" to this forum. My retort on the subject is posted in my post above the one above this one.

Just because you have money doesn't mean you should mindlessly spend it on everything that tickles your fancy. That's a great way to go broke, find yourself in debt and so on and so forth. You also have to realize what kind of effect your mindless spending has. I mean, if players weren't so eager to throw every dime they had at all these DLCs, Limited Editions, etc. we wouldn't have to pay out the ass for them now.

well when you've found a way to make everyone agree with you, let me know

im not suggesting spending it mindlessly. i only mindlessly spend money when i have money to spend mindlessly; thats what disposable income is for. and as to the limited edition thing, your talking to the wrong person. i've bought a grand total of 2 limited editions to date in 11 years of gaming, including this one. i spend a lot of time deciding whether it is worth it and what the company is like. lionhead haven't released any limited edition DLC or any pre order bonuses to the regular edition player to date. therefore, if you want the content, go get it!

Haha! Stupidity and irrational behavior will always outweigh logical reasoning and intelligent choices.

The LE thing isn't necessarily directed at you but people in general who blow through a $100 or more on a single game just to brag about it. Also, Lionhead has released three different DLC for Fable II alone and now we've got fifty different (that's an exaggeration mind you) extra bits of content that can only be gained from pre-ordering certain items from certain places. It's ridiculous.

Why would we need a chance to brag? because some of us want to, maybe

oh, don't worry im not obsessive enough to go that far. im avoiding the £30 controller, and im not doing like my friend Mike did with mass effect 2, trying to get every DLC for mass effect 2. thats
Inferno armour, terminus armour (seperate pre order bonuses)
3 helmets (Dr pepper promo items)
Collectors armour (Collectors edition bonus)
about 3000ms points of normal DLC
Blood Dragon Armour (Buy Dragon Age Origins)

This altogether makes £190/$295. Just hearing that total made my bank account weep uncontrollably

sorry, it actually makes £215/$334 (thats with the ms points roughly converted)

god, i need to stop multiple posting. anyway.
Fable 2 dlc, 2 of the items were never released as Collectors DLC, the one that has hasn't been released to regular edition owners. so that makes 100% of Limited DLC unavailable to normal game owners.

People don't bloww $100 or more on a single game solely to brag, i'm just giving them that option, to let people wave their affluence like a metaphorical flag.

I agree that the company shouldn't be exploiting its loyal customers, but PM doesn't really listen to me (he stopped replying to my years ago). needless to say that some of the DLC codes i will be selling.
