A letter from Rose

Rose said:
Dear Sparrow.

I woke up today in such a peculiar place. It's like a great big forest, with lots and lots of threes that go on forever. I was scared at first because I couldn't find, but there's someone here who says he knows us, says he knows our family. He told me his name, but I keep forgetting it. Weird, I think he's a king or something. He's very thin and wears a hood and looks scary, but he's nice and I feel safe with him here. I hope you're okay Little Sparrow. Somehow I know that it's all going to be alright, and we'll be together again one day. He promised me.

Love
Rose

I can't believe I havn't read this before now, anyway, the question is:

Jack of Blades or Scythe?

Re: A letter from Rose

Hasn't this been asked and answered many times before?
Jack is long dead by the way.

Re: A letter from Rose

Rose is supposed to be dead too, but that wasn't really my question.

Re: A letter from Rose

....Not if you pick the Love ending, your family is reborn, AKA Rose, your sister.
Since I'm sure the hero doesn't love, or know Jack, he's still dead.

Re: A letter from Rose

Then who is the thin scary man that looks like a king?

Re: A letter from Rose

Scythe? Since he isn't dead yet, that is the general assumption.

Re: A letter from Rose

I'm having a hard time imagining scythe taking care of Rose, and she doesn't say anything about snow.

Re: A letter from Rose

You can't imagine an Archon taking care of someone from his own bloodline?
Scythe doesn't have to stay in Snowspire you know, it's been 500 years, I'm sure he's been other places.

Re: A letter from Rose

So because he likes the cold, he would give up being a hero and stay in some place that might not need him?

Re: A letter from Rose

Slain, and why would he continue to guard it unless he had a reason? Nothing much has been mentioned about it, and Rose might have just forgotten to mention the cold if infact that's where she is, being brought back to life makes you forget to write about the weather.

Re: A letter from Rose

There are freaking enough threads of this here, use the search option please.

Re: A letter from Rose

Nobody is 100% certain who it is. The best and most widely accepted idea is that it is Scythe. Just because the cold wasn't mentioned doesn't mean it's not there. I'm not saying it is but I'm not saying it's not.:ninja:

Re: A letter from Rose

Yeah but she mentioned the trees, why wouldn't she mention snowflakes?

And by the way, Jacks mask was just a vessel, Jack in the Fable universe is the essence of evil. From the Fable 1 references in the game the hero in Fable 1 chose evil, destroyed oakvale and all that. That could mean that the hero used Jacks mask and that Jack lived on in the hero, the hero probably died but the mask lived on.

Re: A letter from Rose

Because she was brought back to life and didn't think her brother would care much about snowflakes? Can we get past this "Scythe is just some asshole who likes the cold so much he would damn the world to have a cool breeze" stuff?

Besides, Lionhead has stated that cannonly, the Hero of Oakvale was GOOD.
AKA, he did not take the Sword of Aeons, or kill his sister, Thunder, Briar Rose, or the Guild Master, and of course, cast Jack's mask into the lava.

The only reason Jack was able to escape into a mask was because William Black only broke Jack's body, the Hero of Oakvale destroyed his soul, he's dead, and has been for 500 years.

Re: A letter from Rose

She thought the hero would care about trees, she described the place she woke up.

I think Theresa mentions that the Hero of Oakvale killed the guild master? Just because he didn't kill his sister doesn't mean he chose good for life. Maybe he threw the sword of aeons in the vortex, spared Thunder, Briar and the Guild Master but in the end couldn't ressist the mask.

Re: A letter from Rose

Let's move past the scenery, alright?

I've never heard her say that, at all, in any way, shape or form, however it was an Easter egg on a loading screen, but just an Easter egg.
If he could not resist the mask, he probably wouldn't have a child, and Jack of Blades would still be around and well known.

At the end of Fable most heroes are past age 50, and I don't think they're monks, all it would have to do for the bloodline to continue is one bursted pig condom.
