I'd like to get a list going of things we as a fanbase would like to see returned to/fixed in the future of this series. I completely understand that the series needs to go in new directions and all that, but I think many can agree that something has been lost in transition in the last two games, especially Fable 3. I was just plain dissapointed by Fable 3, it lacked the freedom and the story that are essential in the series to make it playable and enjoyable.

For me:

-More regions
-More enemies (diversity)
-Less corny story (sorry but its true)
-Bring back REAL SENSE OF CUSTOMIZATION
-STORY STORY STORY MAKE IT MORE EPIC NOT THIS DUMB BLACK GOO NONSENSE.

Still like the series, but I would rather love it. Still a fan, don't attack me because I'm being a bit critical here. ;)

-Magic: NO MORE GAUNTLETS!
-TimeLine: Maybe a rift in time sending us back to before the events of the first game, had to set up things to get the first Fable going in motion.
-Enemies: Bring back the TROLLS! (Not on the internet, those trolls can stay gone...)

If they keep going into the future, wouldn't it be funny if we had made it to outer space and a mysterious alien artefact had been found on a deserted mineral harvest planet...

they should just keep updating and fixing fable 3 instead of making a new game. but eh, its just wishful thinking

Ehh... I don't really agree with that...
I think they should quit making downloadable content for a poor game and focus their time on creating an epic new installment for the series that is good enough to not require dlc.
My opinion of course...
I don't know...

More like they should stop making Xbox Avatar clothing and concentrate more on the actual game.
  • Less DLC, but ones with more meat on them. Let them have real lasting effects, rather than a couple of generic weapons and a couple of houses to buy.
  • No 'Day One' DLC releases. It's ridiculous that they just hold content back so they can make you pay for it after.
  • NO MORE HYPING, MOLYNEUX! All he does is slag off the last game to big up the next. I'd rather know nothing about the content, rather than have it promised and then not delivered.
  • The customisation in this game wasn't great, but it did have lots of potential.
The Sanctuary is probably one of the best things about this game, but sometimes even that got tedious.
I did enjoy Fable 3, it just needed more time to be refined. I think it was rushed.

I read from the back of my case... "No long item lists or menus to take you out of the action." I want them back. I loved the item lists in Fable 1 and 2.

I agree, the menus in III were... interesting... though how can you turn down picking up a rotten apple and eating it?

Exactly, by taking away the lengthy menus, they took away just that much more freedom. Besides, it's an RPG... I never did understand why "lengthy item lists" were such a problem... Craziness.

I think the reason the first game was so good was because it did not have any dlc, and was also the first in the series. Therefore they did not hold any content back and developed to their own appeal, not to appeal to a mass market.

Throw away everything and start from scratch. Ever since Fable left the enchanted forest setting it was somewhat out of place. There's nothing mystical or mythical about industrial era Britain. There just isn't.

Rebuild the game engine from scratch and do it right. Redesign textures, the way menus work, overload the game with content, and introduce a good plot for the first time in 3 games. One where you feel the urge to take revenge. One where you actually fight a final boss and overpower him. One where your character doesn't talk.

To be honest, I actually enjoyed the plot of Fable 3. But I think you're right in saying;

One where you feel the urge to take revenge. One where you actually fight a final boss and overpower him.

I just felt no inclination to kill Logan in the end. The death of a group of villagers didn't really make me feel like I wanted to kill him. At least in two you actually had more of a personal reason to take revenge.
