Advantages and Disadvantages for keeping Logan alive and for him being killed??

Did you keep Logan alive?? if so, what were the disadvantages and advantages for it and what were the disadvantages and advantages for killing him?? I found that the disadvantages for killing were that I needed more troops on my side and the advantages were that there was no troublesome at all x

I kept logan alive in both of my playthroughs so far. I never really killed him... Whats the amount of gold you need if you killed him? I needed 6.5 mil...
