After Death (Story)
I sat in class staring at the clock, it was 2:35. "15 minutes left" I thought to myself grinning slightly. I looked back at my teacher who seemed to be rambling on about nothing, I put my head on the desk and began to dose off. It hadn't even been 4 minutes before a loud bang awoke me. "Lucas! Get your head off the desk and pay attention" said the teacher as he slammed his hand on the desk. I lifted my head slowly and looked at him. "Eeerm I'm awake." I said, rocking slightly. The teacher gave me a dirty look and walked back to the front of the class, as he was walking away i gave him the finger and laid my head back on the desk this time not falling asleep, I just stared at the clock. 2:49, "one minute!" I though to myself smiling from ear to ear. I counted down with the second hand. "10..9..8..7..6..5..4...3..2..1.." The bell rang incredibly loud and i grabbed my bag and jumped up. "So long sir" I said as i walked out of the classroom. "Hold on a second Lucas" called the teacher who walked out of the classroom. "i need to have a word with you" There was a part of me that just wanted to tell him to **** off and walk away but i decided against it and walked back into the classroom. I leaned back onto the wall and listened to the teacher make a speech about me not paying attention, sleeping in class, doing little work, ect ect. After i while my eyes wandered out the window, I was simply staring at tree when something caught my eye. There was something on the tree, just sat on a branch. It wasn't human although it was human shaped, it had large horns and a tail. At first i thought I was seeing things so i looked away, when i looked back the figure had gone, I figured it had been a trick of the eyes and thought nothing more of it. After about 40 minutes of being yelled at the teacher finally let me go home. I left the school in a foul mood, that teacher wasted 40 minutes of my time, I was walking down the road which always seemed a bit odd to me, I could never put my finger on it, I felt like i was being watched but there was no one there, in fact I don't think I've ever seen anyone on this road. In the 4 years I've been going to this school this one road is always empty, this was the first time I'd actually stopped to think about it. I turned around and my attention was drawn to a tree, the figure from before was sat on the branch, this was not a trick of the eye because i could see it clear as day. i could see it perfectly all it's features everything! It's face was human only it's skin was a dark shade of blue, it had horns on it's head and sharp fangs. It's eyes were burning red, no iris, no pupils just red. It's body was slim and brittle but he seemed strong. his hands were boney and long. I jumped back but i couldn't take my eyes off the creature. I stared into it's eyes for a couple seconds when out of no where it opened it's mouth and howled. I turned around and ran as fast as I possibly could, I got to the end of the street when i stopped dead, I saw something which made my heart sink and my legs turn to jelly, there were more of them about 10 or 20, litering the road ahead, I turned back round to see more of them i was surrounded. I heard them all howl and i fell to me knees and put my head into my hands "This is it" I thought to myself "I'm going to die" I sat there for about 5 minutes waiting, I figured I'd be dead by now, I looked up to see all the creatures from before had been killed, I looked up a little more and saw what appeared to be a women standing over me, she knelt down to me level and held her hand out "Are you okay?" . . . .
