Alan Wake

You know how I'm always whining about stuff being too much action and not enough story? Well, I just finished up Alan Wake last week and this game.... this game blew my mind! The story is magnificent. Even after a week the game is constantly on my mind and it is screwing with me so hard.​

I don't know where to begin praising this game, should I start with the amazing visuals or the Lovecraftian themes? The soundtrack? The fact that it makes me doubt my own existence and free will?!​

Oh man, loved this game. Unlike other "horror" games, I really enjoyed how this game went back to the old tried and true ways of the old Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Dino Crisis. Giving you a small amount of ammo so you can't go in guns blazing, followed by the fear of not knowing what was going to happen next even though you knew something was going to happen. Night falls and you know something very bad is about to go down, I haven't gotten an adrenaline rush from a horror game like this in a long time.

I've yet to finish it because I got stuck in some part where you're crossing a bridge (I think it's a bridge) and it's being pulled apart, things are getting thrown at me and I keep dying! It's been awhile since I played so I'll give it another spin sometime this week.

The ending will blow your mind. It sure did blow my mind and I'm still feeling the aftershock...
