Despite the fact that Amazon had up a message on the mainpage for Fable 3 saying, "Choose First Class and get this game on release date!" (which has since been removed because seriously, **** customer satisfaction or false advertising, right?) people are getting delivery dates between Saturday (30th and it's meant to be tomorrow) and the 1st of November. That's just for the games, the guides are completely out of stock and no chance of getting more.

Ordering from Amazon has just been a massive clusterfuck of mess ups, from what I've seen, and I don't think I'll be doing it again.

Oh, and Amazon are pretending that credit cards can't clear (like my one that I mentioned in this thread) don't work in order to buy time to get more pre-orders and have more time for everything else. It's ridiculous.

lol and post doesn't come on the weekend so not till next week basically.

Shame to hear about this because thats just bad practice and the reason more people dont use them to preorder games.

I've never had a problem with Amazon and for the past two years I've shopped with them almost exclusively. I have not had indication that my copy will not arrive tomorrow, but I'll update you if this changes. I also pay for their Amazon Prime service, so I really cannot imagine the game not shooting through my letterbox tomorrow morning.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with 'em though; don't let this put you off! Seriously, they've done me a ton of favours in the past.

I've never had a problem, I just bought the book from them, it came 2 days before it should have, and the controller is coming tomorrow, right on time. Maybe it's just you.

Yeah, when items are pre-ordered en masse problems can occur.

It's not like they're doing it on purpose. It's not like Amazon board meetings consist of
"So, how can we **** with the customers, today?"
"I don't know. But I'd like to discuss how we can lower our profit margins and run the company into the ground."

pfft.

It's more the fact that they promised release day delivery, removed it from their site sneakily (without informing customers) and then changed the dates so it certainly is not release day delivery.

It wouldn't be so bad if they were transparent about it, but they aren't. Therein lies the problem.

The one you want to watch is Argos - we waited a month for Halo ODST with them and last week I got a letter from them asking me whether I have received the item yet. Erm...

sfroggy1 said his has been despatched. I really think it's a small minority that are getting butthurt about it. The reason they post a later delivery date is to avoid sending it later than they said. They said my book would arive 29th, it came the 27th. I wouldn't worry about it until tomorrow.

EDIT: If it's any consolation, GAME sent my game via courier, and they sent it to the wrong depot. I'd be lucky if I got it tomorrow.

There's certain people you're supposed to speak to about this sort of thing. You know they have companies and organisations that actively seek out this sort of wrong-doing...

I think Batman might be able to help you.

I ordered mine from Amazon and got it yesterday, a day early ^_^

Mine came today :D :D With all the promised content either in the box itself or via an email they sent this morning.
